| You can't beat the location of this hotel. Make sure to ask for an ocean view room. Our view was great of both the pool and hotel. Pool is heated. I would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay. Beautiful sunsets!!!! Lots of shopping and resturaunts around. Hotel resturaunt is fabulous. Close to all attractions.

| Beds are very comfy. Shower heads are a bit low, but the location right on the beach is hard to beat. Try the brown nut ale at Taylor's down the block by the pier - fantastic! When reserving, ask for an ocean view on one of the upper floors -the bottom floor is only pool view.

| From the outside of the hotel I concerned about what I had booked. Once I got into my room, it was much nicer than I expected. It was small but it was just me. Housekeeping did an exceptional job everyday. The view from the balcony was spectacular. The pool area was clean. Just ten short steps and I was on the boardwalk. It was great to leave the patio door open at night and hear the waves from the ocean pounding as they broke. The only downfall of the room was the shower head. I think it was installed by a midget. I am 6'2 and the shower head was just below my chin. No big deal though. The restaurant attached to the hotel had outstanding food (World Famous Restaurant)with reasonable prices. Breakfast $10.00 including tip. Dinner $30.00 with two drinks. There is so much to do. I was very impressed with the highway system. To get anywhere was no more than 30 minutes. The people of San Diego are very friendly, Walking down the street or boardwalk, people smile and say hello. I would consider relocating to San Diego after I sell my business. In December, temps were in the high 60's to low 70's. The water temp was too cold (60)except if you had a wet suit. It was fun to watch the surfers tear it up. I found a new vacation destination.

| Be sure to secure the right room - many face the beach or pool but a number of them on the corner face an alley with dumpsters and the parking lot out back. Also, not really an issue in San Diego, but the rooms don't have AC. They do have an oscillating fan. In mid-August during a heat wave it was almost an issue but didn't break the deal. Great location. $6/day parking.

| Our room was great. We had a great view of the ocean. We kept our balcony door open all night just to hear the surf at night. We were a little concern about the security leaving the balcony door open since there was no locks on the screen and everyone on your floor that had a room could walk around on the balcony.
