| Beautiful courtyard with a door that opens to the Ocean. Great bar with amazing fish tacos right across the street. Cool antique shops, surf shops, coffee shops and hippie shops. More laid back than Pacific Beach and easier to get to sight-seeing destinations. Pet friendly.

| Great hotel for our price range. The only inconvenience is that there was not a hair drier in the room, so I had to buy one, and there was not an electrical outlet in the bathroom. So I had to improvise with an extension cord. But being so close to the beach was awesome. Their courtyard is beautiful. We will return.

| The courtyard was quaint and it was convenient to walk out your door and be on the beach. The room did have a few maintenence issues, but was overall very clean.

| The Downs: Our roomed spelled of pee. The carpet left your feet black if you walked barefoot. We had to go after more cups and toilet paper on our own. The Ups: Great location. Many good restaurants in walking distance. Right on beach. Great to have a fridge, microwave, and free wi-fi. We didn't spend much time in our room or else the Downs would have bugged us more.

| We had some problems at Check-in, but they were nice enough to upgrade our room for one night. We had to change rooms the next morning for the rest of our stay. It was a little bit of a hassle, but it all worked out okay. Stayed for a whole week. Enjoyed how close the hotel was to the beach. Parking was kind of a pain, but there was usually a spot. Bongo drums were plentiful around 10:00 p.m. but even that had a little charm. All in all the hotel was good, and I would stay there again.

| Located just a few steps(literally) from the beach,The O.B.Hotel was very welcoming after a long walk and some local shopping.The staff was always ready to accomodate your needs. The decor had a homey feel to it,with some recent upgrades including carpet,furniture and fixtures,not to mention a georgous courtyard which is front and center of nearly all rooms. The remainder of the rooms include a partial or full ocean view...sunset included.

| Quiet, rustic hotel. Was on top floor and no elevators, but wonderful view of the ocean and pier as soon as you walked out your room door. Front desk help was fantastic, every one was very polite and willing to help.

| Hotel was great located right on the beach and pier. Patio was full of flowers and had lovely fountain. Management was friendly and very helpful. However if you traveling with kids use different hotel this hotel is located on the surfers beach. Rooms are very small for active toddlers. After two days we moved on Coronado beach it was perfect for children

| I stayed here for several days and loved the atmosphere, especially the courtyard, and convenience. A month later, my son & his girlfriend stayed for 2 nights and loved it. Recommended Ocean Beach Motel to other friends, and they will be staying next month. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.
