As said before, the location couldn't be beat. But I sure am glad that I didn't have a car to park, as there was no parking places available. We were on the second floor more than half way back, and it was a walk to the front. They were painting one day outside the elevators, but had no signs up for wet paint. The maintenance person said it was ok to walk on the paint and I told him I didn't care about the paint, but getting the paint all over my sandals and feet. The front desk keyed the room key to one room and told us we were in another room. So that meant back tracking to the lobby to correct the problem. The beds were not bad, which I am always worried about having a bad back. We never stopped at the continental breakfast area, as we heard it wasn't worth the trip. The pool was always crowded, but it was hot so that is understandable. I probably won't stay there again, but for the few days we were there and the closeness to the park, it was ok.

...so, when we return to Disneyland, we will stay elsewhere. There was NOT enough parking at the hotel, even though we had a room and only one car. The front desk told me to park in a fire zone and "promised" I would not be towed. Luckily, there were no problems. This hotel is nothing to write home about. It is average, at best. It was pretty much what we expected, but next time we will try to do better. One positive: LOCATION. The hotel is directly across from the main entrance of Disneyland and California Adventure. BUT, we could not leave our car in the parking lot (since we checked out the day we went to Disneyland) so we ended up having to park at the park afterall.

The Room and bathroom were typical Motel layout and clean, although the beds weren't particularly comfy, but for the price and the location we were VERY happy. A complimentary muffin and coffee breakfast was included, which was disappointing, but we didn't stay here for the breakfast. If you want a luxary hotel, go somewhere else and pay the price. If you want a conviniet location you can't get better. The room has a fridge which we kept stocked with bottled water (bought from Costco). It has a small freezer compartment big enough for 4 bottles which we froze to use as ice blocks for the other bottled water we took into the park and then as these melted, they too gave a wonderfully cool and refreshing drink. The case of 24 bottles cost less than 2 bottles if purchased within the park. - Disney on a budget Becasue it's on the Harbor Rd right outside the park, it's so easy to find when coming from out of town.

I have stayed in several hotels and the tropicana inn was by far not the best. There was no bath tub for kids, the room was really small and the air conditioner didn't work well. The only convenience is that it is across the street from Disneyland.

My husband, two kids and I had a great time staying at this hotel. The pool was clean and towels were available there. A microwave, iron, blow dryer and small frig. were in our room. Disneyland is across the street. I will definately come back to this hotel everytime I come to Disneyland. Breakfast was provided and was reasonable. I highly recommend it.

This hotel is very easy to walk to either Disneyland or California Adventure. We had 2 seniors with us and they went back to the hotel when they were tired - very easy walk right across the street from the entrance to the parks and safe. Kitchen was handy. Snack store downstairs was very adequate for beer, wine, snacks, sun lotion, etc. and an ATM. And room service was quick to arrive and very tasty!
