The reason for that is that the hotel is so far away from anything - you can not even walk around the neighborhood because you are on a wharf and there is nothing else around. The taxi from the hotel to Leicester Square was GBP13.00 one way and GBP20 on the way back. And there are no understations anywhere in the near vicinity. You can catch a bus for 15 minutes to the nearest underground and then catch the tube to Oxford Street or wherever but as the hotel is not that nice or cheap in the first place, why bother?

Nothing more to say. The hotel is a bit distance away from Fulham Broadway station but it's worth it. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. I definitely will stay here again.

The Jurys Inn Chelsea is a very nice hotel--clean, comfortable, air-conditioned. My friend and I stayed there two weeks in July, and we had a totally positive experience with the hotel and the hotel staff. The only problem was that this hotel is rather far from central London, and it did take us longer to get where we wanted to go from the Jurys Inn than from other hotels we have stayed in before.

Good accommodations but somewhat difficult to get to. Requires either a bus or taxi ride to get to the closest Underground Station.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and the hotel is superb as a budget option-absolutely no complaints and better than many much more "luxury" hotels we have stayed at in the past. The one complaint, and it may not matter to most, is that the distance from the hotel to the nearest tube station is more than a short stroll, which made it difficult to return to the room during the day.

The stay at the hotel was a pleasure. We picked this hotel because it was a newer hotel, only 2 years old. A very quiet hotel while we stayed there. The staff was very helpful. The hotel is about 7/10 of a mile from the nearest tube station which was the fulhum broadway station which was not a very far ride to the center of London. The Hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood that you can walk in at any time of the night. The prices were reasonable for London. The room was a decent size and you might want to stop at a place called Katherines Pastisserie on the corner of Kings road and Bagleys road for a simple breakfast on the way to the tube. Enjoy your trip.

While as the other reviews here will tell you, it's a 20-min. walk to the Fulham Broadway tube station (some of which is walled-off construction), everything else about this hotel was great. The staff was friendly, the rooms clean, quiet, and tastefully decorated, the bathroom was gorgeous, and overall the Jurys Inn Chelsea was a great place to rest in between walking around London. The few times we took cabs, it was maybe 12 pounds to get to the middle of the West End. Furthermore, once you've walked down the length of the main street the hotel is on, you get to a very charming section of Fulham, with a gorgeous park, and several great grocery stores and cafes.

Brand new hotel, reasonable rates, and the closest thing one could find to a shortcoming is the location relative to tube stations. Did not mind the 15 min. walk, but a tube station is scheduled to open in '07 to serve this growing residential area. Modern-chic decor, space, comfort, and a great, pro staff all add up to a very nice stay.

I think the hotel is great and just by the river. But my only two complaints are 1. It's in Fulham and not Chelsea which may confuse some guests. 2. They should be able to offer some deal on parking, this cost an arm and a leg and just some advice from the staff regarding parking regulations would hace been helpful.

Jurys Inn Chelsea is a very well run establishment. The front desk staff is friendly and very helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We were orignally booked in for one night and extended our stay twice. The one caviat with the hotel is its location. Imperial Wharf, where it is located, is a 15 minute walk from the nearest tube stop. Fortunately, it is a pleasant walk in nice weather, and taxis run frequently in front of the hotel (it is a 4 pound fare to the Fulham Broadway tube stop). I would stay here again, because the location, while a little out of the way, is very quiet at night.
