| Delightful apartment with lots of room. Only about a mile from city centre in Edinburgh - an easy walk or bus ride. Large grocery story was closeby. Helpful staff.

| Apartment was well-kept and cozy, with plenty of room for two people and a well-supplied kitchen! Convenient location with a bus stop right out front and large grocery store just around the corner. By far the best facilities we stayed in during our vacation, even in comparison with well-known chains. Reception hours are a bit limited, but this is the only criticism worth mentioning! Loved it!

| Like other travelers, we had serious checkin problems here. In June 2005, we arrived in the early evening to find the office locked. A note telling us to call a certain phone number had been taped to the door. We called and got someone's voicemail. A few minutes later, we called again, and someone answered. The person who answered (with a TV or radio blaring in the background) couldn't give us any information, but said she would call the person who could give us information and have her get back to us. She flatly refused to tell us how to contact the person we needed to talk to. Wonderful service, no? Fortunately for us, we had rented a UK cell phone for our trip, and we were able to leave a number. How they would have dealt with this if we hadn't had the cell phone, I don't know. Eventually, someone did return our call and tell us how to retrieve our keys. The apartment itself was OK; not great, but good enough. The service from the office staff was competent, but cool. This place worked out for us, but we wouldn't be eager to go back. Service matters to us, but it was very clear that it didn't matter to them.

| We spent a few days in Edinburgh and stayed the two nights we were in town at Canon Court. IT IS IMPORTANT to know that if you're going to check in later than 8 pm to call the front desk- there is a separate check-in procedure. We arrived later than that due to a train accident coming into Edinburgh. We knew to call the desk and the very friendly woman working that night walked us through the after hours check-in. The apartment was very large- we had asked for the two bedroom, which was perfect for our family of four. Close to a grocery, which worked out well. It was also relatively clean (other than cleaning out the dispenser for the washing machine). It is a bit off the beaten path, though- be prepared to either walk a lot, get taxis or figure out the bus system. However, the plus to that is we really got to see the "non-tourist" part of Edinburgh, which was VERY nice. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
