Omni Colonnade Hotel Amenities
In contrast to the hotel's Neoclassical design, a spacious business center displays a starkly contemporary style of grays, yellows, and exposed duct work and offers two flat-screen computers with high-speed Internet connections (surcharges), a full range of business services, and boardroom, conference room, and day office for rent. A fitness room off the rooftop pool deck contains a universal gym, cardio machines, and free weights. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel for laptops with network cards. (Network cards are available for rent.) The hotel does not offer parking. Both valet and self parking are available, however, through an independent service, whose garage is adjacent to the hotel; surcharges apply.

Recreation
The hotel has a 50-by-15-foot swimming pool and five-person spa tub on a 10th-story rooftop sundeck. The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

Features
What to expect: Set in the financial district and opening onto the famed shopping/dining street called Miracle Mile, the hotel attracts business travelers and shoppers. The hotel dates from 1991, but it incorporates--and honors in design--the historic, 60-foot-high, Neoclassical-style Rotunda that developer George Merrick used as a real-estate sales office when he founded Coral Gables in 1926.
Amenity highlights: A 10th-story, 200-foot-long, rooftop sundeck fringed by bougainvillea features a 50-by-15-foot heated pool and five-person spa tub. The hotel's public areas feature pink-marble floors trimmed in green marble, delicate crystal chandeliers, dark woods, and sepia photographs documenting the history of George Merrick, founder of Coral Gables.
Insider tip: A complimentary trolley-bus operates on Ponce de Leon Boulevard alongside the hotel to the vast shopping/dining center called Village of Merrick Park.
Toscana by Bice - Tuscan-cuisine outpost of celebrated South Florida restaurateur Roberto Ruggieri. Street-level, linen-service restaurant with dining room and sidewalk umbrella tables. Bar/lounge with pianist nightly. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Dinner menu antipasti include tuna carpaccio, eggplant stuffed with goat cheese and mozzarella. Pasta choices include fettucine Alfredo, tagliolini with shrimp and chicken. Second courses include veal scaloppine with butter/lemon sauce, New York steak with green-peppercorn sauce.

| The main lobby is inviting and elegant. The room was old and run down. There was a pretzel on the carpet of the room floor when I arrived and was still there three days later. The carpet was filthy and the room had a mouldy odor. I was not at all impressed by this hotel and would not recommend it to any future travellers. The only other nice thing about the Hotel was the restaurant downstairs - Tula's also was the room service menu and the food and prices were favorable.

| Make sure you use the Concierge. Everything was great including the roof deck pool. Service in the hotel restaurant could have been better but then again there is always room service. If you stay more than one night everyone will be calling you Mr. so and so..including the Valet.

| My husband and I stayed in this hotel for a week and loved the decor and cleanliness of the hotel. However, they only had 2 receptionist that had a clue. Even the concierge could not help us with things to do and see near the hotel. I would recommend this hotel because of the cleanliness but be sure you know what things there are to do in Coral Gables before you go.

| Overall - Luke Warm. Not a bad experience. Courteous staff and good service. However the hotel and room looked like it needed a little maintenance, i.e. visibly broken furniture, stained or tarnished brass and just "old looking." I would stay there again but would check other hotels in the area first.

| This is a hotel in a wonderful location and had a very nice room that was in good condition. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed with the staff, especially the front desk staff. My son who is 17 years old and with whom I was traveling even walked away from one encounter and asked "What's up with that?" I will never go back unless it is purchased by a new owner who knows how to train a staff to provide good customer service.

| We had an overall good experience with this hotel. Coral Gables is a relatively quiet part of town, and this hotel is no exception. The location on the Miracle Mile is great. If you are looking for a Miami party-like location, this isn't the place; but if you want a comfortable business hotel, this is pretty good.
