It features 165 guestrooms and suites with ocean-view balconies and contemporary decor, along with two restaurants, an open-air lounge, and several shops. An on-site day spa offers massages, Vichy showers, and signature treatments for couples. The hotel also features a lagoon-style (zero-entry) pool, spa tub, and beachfront water-sports center with sailboats, Jet Skis, and other aquatic equipment. | The Radisson is a fairly new, quite large resort hotel about 20 minutes out of Papeete by taxi. The resort itself is right on a black sand beach (treacherous surf), and the pool is great. The obvious drawback is the distance to Papeete, which is worth a visit. The activities desk will help set you up with some great stuff on Tahiti Nui or Moorea, but you will have to do a lot of leg work yourself. The activities at the resort are quite limited, but take a good book, sunscreen and sleep on the beach.
