| This is a nice little boutique hotel, reasonably well-located for the Tivoli, train station, etc. Somewhat designer/edgy, but not overly so. Comfortable beds, good tv, etc. I'm not sure I'd recommend it for kids, as there is no room service and the bar menu is definitely pitched to grown-ups. However the main problem is the street. If you can get a room on the back side of the hotel, great, but the street noise from the main street it's on is very noticeable and irritating, and if there was a/c in the room, I sure couldn't find it, and we had to sleep with our window open. So stay away from the street side. Otherwise a very nice place, and a great breakfast buffet.

| A glitzy hotel with adequate rooms. The parking entrance is hard to find, but at least it has parking! Staff very helpful. Had to leave before breakfast, so can't judge quality. Lots of street noise, all night long, unless you have room on back side of property.

| This hotel is a little out of the way - it is in Frederiksburg, a section of Copenhagen just adjacent to the center, yet you have quick and easy access to the center by bus or metro. Hence it's a quieter and more relaxed environment. The rooms are tastefully appointed, clean and contemporary, with pleasant lighting and ample space. The staff was generous and genuinely welcoming, especially helpful in pointing out the highlights of this non-touristy part of the city. It will be our destination on our next visit to Denmark.

| The Avenue Hotel has clearly been recently refurbished, and is quite nice. It is still recognizably an older hotel, but the rooms have been fixed up nicely with clean and usable baths and comfortable beds. The lobby, bar, patio, and breakfast areas are all beautifully redone. Free high speed internet access from the room, included breakfast, and location close to downtown and historic areas all make this hotel a great value. Room 406 is particularly nice.

| This hotel was about a mile or so away from all the action but very accessible to everything with all the great public transportation right out their front door. This is not a tourist hotel. Most of the people staying there were business people. However, all the staff could speak english and were very polite. It was very quiet and well kept up. We were very impressed with how comfortable the rooms were, the Danes definitely know how to sleep comfortably with all their down comforters and pillows. Very nice. They also had many nice room amenites at no extra charge: safe in the room, a refrigerator, wireless internet service, and a breakfast (Dane style). We would stay there again.

| I recently stayed at the Avenue Hotel with my parents and 2 small children. We had a great stay and could not have asked for nicer accomodations! The rooms were quite large (we had a family room) and newly remodeled. The breakfast served each morning was excellent and the staff was exceptionally helpful. Only complaint, was that the elevator was down for renovations however, hotel staff carried our bags to the 3rd floor for us. Also, our plasma (!) TV broke while we were there. No big deal though.
