Features
What to expect: The Triton delights the eyes with wild, irreverent decor and attitude. Works by local and international artists adorn the walls and public areas. Worth a peek are the designer suites created by celebrities such as Jerry Garcia and Carlos Santana. Amenity highlights: A 24-hour fitness and business center means guests can climb the stairmaster and e-mail their brokers at 3 AM when the East Coast is waking up. Tarot card readings (surcharge) may offer more investment insight. Although its central downtown location makes most things accessible on foot, the hotel also provides a complimentary towncar service each morning to certain areas of the financial district. Twenty-nine of the hotel's guestrooms are designated "EcoRooms," with all-natural linens, energy efficient lighting, biodegradable soaps, and water- and air-filtration systems. Insider tip: The hotel is located next to one of San Francisco's top international newsstands.
Café de la Presse - This noteworthy French café, adjacent to the hotel, is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but is known mostly for its popular weekend brunch (sidewalk tables available). The café also doubles as an international newsstand, stocked with the likes of Paris Match and the London Times.

| I really liked this hotel. It was a funky little hotel right off of Union Square. The colors were bright and bold and the rooms were clean. They have a wine reception every night and a complimentary breakfast in the morning. It is located right next to a cute little French restaurant as well. There is also a small fitness room.

| My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary in August. We were looking for a boutique style hotel, clean, safe and affordable. Location was a plus. We found all of that at the Triton. I am a neat freak and I never found anything that grossed me out. Location was terrific - right at the gate for Chinatown, which if you are walking anywhere (which I recommend) is the perfect starting point in any direction. DO NOT RENT A CAR, as it costs $ 37 per day to park it. We walked to and through Chinatown, North Beach and Fisherman's Wharf in the same day. If you are going a bit further, cabs can be hailed on any corner with no wait. A few of the people at the front desk were a little snotty, but definately the exception. For the most part the staff at the desk, in the lobby for wine hour or the valet was very friendly and accomodating. The rooms are very small, but if you are like us, we wanted to spend our time seeing the city and the room was fine for the two of us. The bed was very comfortable.

| Great location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel lobby is cool. Rooms are okay. Clean and neat, but hotel is older and hallways could use some updating. Don't expect big hotel luxury. Overall, very nice boutique hotel with nice people.

| Eclectic, colorful and unqiue place to stay. Comfortable, good service, great location, and amenities like evening wine served in the lobby and so on. The suites are terrific and book those to really enjoy yourself. The single rooms are somewhat small and a bit run down.
