It was off season, not much hotel staff on hand, matress was old and uncomfortable. No roomservice. A/C didnt work right, No hot water. Although after a call, they corrected everything, but I feel things should have been checked before a guest arrives. Hotel is close to a sewerage plant, and you can smell it.

The Hotel was very nice, but we didn't spend a lot of time there. The whole area was terrific and the locals are as nice as can be. I recommend this location to everyone who just wants to relax.

We have been staying at this hotel since it was first built. It has changed owners over the years. We really like the location, both to Ft.Myers area and to Sanabiel and Captiva Islands. We like the restaurat and really like the pool area. The staff service in all areas has always been very efficient and friendly. My best friend & I spent the weekend with our granddaughters for just a girls weekend together. We all enjoyed our stay. Good family Hotel.

I looked at other reviews on this hotel with expedia before I booked here. The only bad thing I noted was a moldy smell to a room. Sure enough, we had the same issue with our room. But after a couple of hours, the bad smell was gone. Mabey we had the same room the other guest did through expedia. I have to give this hotel credit. It was clean, the pool area was clean, there was a constant presence of staff; cleaning, maintaing, and walking the property. And thier on site restaurant, it was great. Like most hotel restaurant's the menue was limited. But, there was a menue for all three sitting times; Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. For dinner, my wife had a grilled chicken ceaser salad while I had a cheese burger. I also ordered a Hot Peel and Eat shrimp. For a total of thirty dollars the dinner was outstanding in every way. Portions were very large. The shrimp I had was ten dollars and I had about 30 large gulf shrimp. The rules for this review say that I can't mention spacific prices or room rates. That is truely unfortunate, because all in all, this was a very nice value. We are very happy with our stay at this hotel and will return here the next time we plan on being in that area.

This is not a fancy place, but it's comfortable, has a nice pool, and is extremely reasonable and extremely close to the Sanibel Island Causeway. You have easy access to Sanibel and Captiva, at less than half the price of their hotels.

Nice Pool area service at the pool was slow for drinks and food. Didn't get my room cleaned from room service during my stay. Other than that I say give them a try.
