| Didn't realize what a seedy part of town this hotel was in - it's never a good sign when the reception desk is completely enclosed by glass and the iron in your room is bolted down to the ironing board. Just a very uncomfortable experience all around.

| This hotel is very conveniently located by the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and is a breeze to find. It is convenient for Washington, DC as well as Baltimore and Annapolis, Maryland. However, for the novice DC-area tourist it isn't a breeze to get into town. You have to drive a good bit - even to Washington's excellent, clean Metro stops. A car is required. It isn't IN Washington, DC - which is why, I suppose, that call it "Capital Gateway" - but everything you need from McDonald's to food stores to pharmacies is within a 5 minute drive.

| I wasn't expecting much from the hotel to begin with, and sure enough, I wasn't disappointed with my expectation. Beds were comfy enough, bathroom was a little dirty, but not unbearable. One major downside was that the room with a single king bed was extremely underlit. It felt like you were walking into a dark cavern instead of a welcoming hotel room. Overall, perfectly fine for those travelling college students (like myself) who aren't looking for much more than just a place to lay your head and a shower to wash away the grim of the day.

| Bulletproof glass greeted us at the lobby desk. When we went to a local convenient store at night a worker said we were crazy to be out this late because we will get shot up. Did not like the neighborhood.

| The Hotel is not bad, but the service is regular I have a problem with the phone in my room I reported it 2 times and they never fix. The rest of the services were ok and the breakfast included is good. The area around is not the best but is close to Washington DC.

| This hotel is in a fairly high-crime area. It is kept fairly clean but is on the shabby side. We had issues hotel staff not following requests (e.g. leaving enough towels for two guests). The "deluxe" continental breakfast consisted of cereal, toast, and waffles. The last night of our stay the guests upstairs started a house party at 10 pm, and when we complained, the guard told the partiers WHO had complained; the partiers then harassed us for the rest of the night (banging on our door, jumping up & down on their floor, etc.)

| The room was small. We had to walk sideways to maneuver around. Also we requested a non-smoking room, yet our room smelled like stale tobacco. The refrigerator was broken and the front desk clerk conveniently forgot to call the "repair man". I would not recommmend this hotel to my dog!

| Do not stay here! I checked in and took a look at my room and ended up checking out in 15 min. Rooms actually have foul smell and walls are dirty. Elevator smells rancid! Staff is rude and not interested in the guest. Ended up calling another hotel and traveling further from my destination just so i would not have to stay here!

| The staff at the Comfort Inn was inattentive to business travel needs, continued follow up and confirmation with the front desk was required for various matters. The hotel refused UPS receipt of an important package, after a phone call was placed in advance of sending to be certian the hotel would accept & hold for the guest checking-in.

| The reason I chose this hotel was for the price, and I got what I paid for. Room was fairly clean and well maintained. However, there was small puddle of shampoo on the bathroom floor, which ruined it for me. Wall was thin, and I could hear guests next door enjoying themselves in the bed.
