| I read the hotel reviews and thought I would take my chances. I think the best part of this hotel is the staff and the beautful beach. However, if you are looking for a 4-Star hotel, this is not the one. I am really particular about cleanliness. Unfortunately, I felt my room was not as clean as it could be. However, the view was wonderful. The location is great! This was my first trip to Barbados and I am definitely going back. However, I may have to find a hotel that better meets my expectations.

| The hotel was clean. The hotel staff was very nice and helpfull. The location is great, located on the start of the gap which was very convenient. The hotel has good food but there are a lot of resturants and bars in the gap. The beach and the pool were great.

| We booked an ocean view room, the room was very small. We were able to move to a bigger room the next day with no hassle and no exta fee. Still had a great view of the ocean looking out over the smaller of the two pools. The back of the room was right on the street, at night the music/noise from the bar across the street was very loud! The resort is very nice, great food, service and beach. The water was rough compared to the other islands we've been to. Temperature was 85 and always a cool breeze off the water. Food can be expensive like all the islands, if we go back we'll get a suite so we can do some of our own cooking. (ex. breakfast buffett $18.00 per person)Lots of places to eat in the area. Hotel has a free shuttle to town. Beautiful island. Would stay here again if we go back. Loved "Ship Inn" for dinner, just down the street from the Resort.

| Absolutely delightful. Stayed in a Suite with a fantastic ocean view from both bedroom(upstairs) and living area (downstairs). Very clean and cozy. More europeans than americans stay here. Although accommodations were super, service at resturant and Bar was a bit on the slow side. Beach is right outside your door. Will definately stay at the Southern Palms again.

| If you love the water and sand you will love this hotel. It is right on the 1000 feet of sandy beach at the Gap. Two pools and water activities. Shops and restaurant are all around giving you lots of choices. Rooms are average but clean. I had a remote tv and air conditioner. One other I visited had neither. Great for kids too.

| Property was a nice place to stay. Great beach, great location in the St Lawerence Gap. Rooms were clean and spacious along with updated bathrooms,however rooms could be updated at some point. With all the sun and activites its not that big of an issue .The staff was excellent,as were the activites and live entertainment that they provide.The overall expeience at this resort was excellent.

| This is a good hotel, located centrally, you're there at the beach, you don't have to go far to find a wide variety of restaurants and bars. A place to just lie back and relax.
