| Overall, we had a great stay at this resort. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The beaches were wonderfully deserted and the Thai massage was a highlight. Also, you can feel good about spending your money here since the owner has invested some of his profits into the island itself. He has helped build a new school, etc. However, there were a couple of small issues that we came across. Our room wasn't totally ready upon our arrival. The safe was missing the front key panel and we needed to request that to be fixed. As the room truly is open air, you really do feel a need to secure your belongings somehow. Our mosquito netting also had several holes in it that we spent time tying shut. And finally, our room didn't include any info on activities or about breakfast schedules, etc. (We only received this booklet of information on the second day of our stay.) However, this left us struggling to communicate with a staff not fluent in English about what time breakfast started/ended and trying to figure out what we could DO on this beautiful island. At first it seemed that there were no excursions offered and nothing really to do but lay on the beach and read. I am a more active person so I prefer more options than this. One final note of caution. Since this hotel is open air, expect to find many visitors in your bathroom at night, especially cockroaches.

| Away from city noise. Birds wake you up in the morning. Impeccably clean. Close to paradisiac small islands where you can go swiming or snorkeling hiring a boat from the hotel. Delicious Thai food. American food in the menu as well. Staff is nice to you and hotel manager (Mr. Pereira) goes out of the way to meet guests personally and accomodate their special requests. TV/DVD upon request. Great spa at reasonable prices on premises too. Will go back for sure!

| Open air cabanas, quality food, the beach mere meters from the sitting room couch... I highly recommend this establishment! They offer numerous day trips to the surrounding islands, friendly service, a full spa, and it's just far enough out from the craziness of the Phuket mainland but easily accessible if you want to take a short trip for shopping. I will be going back.
