| Enjoyed our two night stay and was able to check in early on arrival. Having the refrigerator and microwave is a definite plus for those bringing your own snacks or reheating left overs.

| This hotel has a lot of great attributes. Access to the lake, restaurants, and the internet was easy. The pool and hottub are great. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the hotel is set up with great security for skis and bikes. For us, the beds were overly "firm". When I commented about it upon checkout - the staff let me know that one wing has been recently updated with beds that have a greater level of padding on the top that can be requested.

| I have stayed overnight several times at the Inn By the Lake while driving down from Oregon to Southern California. It is a pleasant place in a good location, not too noisy but not far from the Nevada border and across the street from the lake. If you are looking for a place a couple of notches up from Best Western but short of luxurious, this will satisfy you.

| Although the Inn was on the lake as advertised, I was not given the room with a view as requested; nor told that one was not available. There was a privacy issue with the room that I was given and the cleaning and replacement of supplies was a problem.

| The front desk staff couldn't be nicer or more accomodating, though the evening front desk coverage failed to follow through on our request to check into our air conditioner problem on the first night we were there. We tried to sleep with the patio door open, but the hotel is so close to the major street through town that the road noise kept us as awake as the warm, stuffy room. The next day they did resolve the problem sufficiently to allow us to sleep fairly comfortably during the rest of our 6 night stay. Housekeeping was "hit and miss" as we had an abundance of towels the first night, but varied amounts the rest of the week---one night we had two bath towels, two hand towels, and one washcloth to share. The flooring in the bathroom is extremely slippery and we were surprised that the hotel's insurance company allows them to keep that surface. The lighting in the room wasn't sufficient for reading comfortably and without strain. The continental breakfast was great with fresh fruit and a variety of breads and muffins. The bed was comfortable and allowed us to sleep without having a morning backache the next day. The location is pretty central to the variety of activities in the area and much preferable to staying at casino hotels for us. We enjoyed having a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in the room---it made taking home leftovers from the restaurants possible.

| We went up to South Lake Tahoe for a wedding and stayed at the Inn by the Lake. A little further from the casinos that the bigger hotels but still a short drive. The room we had was clean, property was also pretty quiet. I enjoyed staying here and the rates were reasonable as well.
