| lol, that is the question that we asked ourselves every time we went out into the hallway during our stay in Reading. We enjoyed our stay, and wanted to note that the hotel staff was very nice and we were very satisfied with our room. We did have two small issues though: 1. The hotel was having an issue with a public restroom, that gave the entire first floor, well, a smell. and 2. Our room was a first floor room that had a window overlooking the service entrance to the kitchen/bar. This didn't appear to be much of an issue when we checked in, but then the loud talking of employees on breaks began (and continuted late into the night) and the noise from carts being brought in and out of kitchen woke us up around 6:30 every morning. We got used to the noise though, and other than those two things, were comfortable in the hotel. It is a bit out of the main shopping area of Reading, and we noticed several other hotels much more conveniently located to the shops and rail station. If the price is comperable, I'd reccommend one of those, as it's either a 5 pound taxi ride or a 1.20 pound bus ride into the main area every day.
