| It was a digustlying dirty hotel, I wouldn't send my worst enemy there to stay. Pool dirty, room stinks, plumbing bad, everything bad, a real dump!!! Run down, lumpy beds.

| This was just your average hotel. The bed was fairly comfortable, but other than that it was just a blah hotel room.

| Promotion of the La Quinta brand shows new, modern hotels providing a peaceful oasis for the weary traveler. Then there is reality. The triangle made by the I405, the on ramp, & Harbor Blvd is the site for the Costa Mesa La Quinta (as well as offices and a Hooters). This small hotel is the haunt for budget travelers including traveling blue collar workers. I had no experience with late arriving families of wired kids or co-ed high school basket ball teams so if you can sleep through the persistent rumble of the Interstate, you will get a good nights sleep. On the plus side it is located about 7 easy miles from the airport, has 10Meg broadband to every room and has a Hooters next door. On the downside, the Expedia rooms are next to the Interstate but for $20 extra, once you get there and see just how close the Interstate is, you can upgrade to a room on the quiet side. In addition there is nothing in the vicinity except the Hooters and an IKEA some way away which is fine if your evening tastes extend to MDF furniture and Swedish meatballs. The hotel was clean and moderately maintained. Beds were comfortable, towels plenty. Service was unobtrusive and judging by the white stripe down one staff members garb they are in the middle of redecoration. I would have expected to pay much less for this hotel anywhere but L.A. Breakfast was included but was very limited in scope as well as accommodation. If the entire hotel woke up together their would have been a serious space issue.

| The hotel in general was good. Hooters right next door. The only real negative factor was the highway noise.

| I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Orange County area. The location is convenient to many attractions and the staff made me feel very welcome. I felt safe and secure staying here as a single person traveling alone.

| Typical American good quality motel room, good shower, TV, big enough. I will stay there again unless one of the fancy hotels in Irvine has a "give away" price when I do my next booking. But, at regular price, this is a good, comfortable bet.

| I would recommend staying here if you are looking for a mid range, quality place to stay. Rooms were clean, updated, new beds (as of Dec 2005, anyway); service was great.

| This hotel shows its age, but it has kept up with many improvements. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, everything worked, and a staff member checked up on me to make sure I had everything I needed. Two caveats: The continental breakfast is prepackaged Otis Spunkmeyer rolls and bagels (nothing fresh). I think they could do better here. Second, my room was only 100 yards from I-405. I didn't mind the noise, but someone sensitive might. It is deafening once you step out your door.
