What to expect: Piney Incline Village is Lake Tahoe's most exclusive neighborhood, where lakefront vacation homes begin at $10 million. On site, the hotel showcases huge ceiling beams, wrought-iron chandeliers, leather seating, river rock and rough-hewn timber, and massive fireplaces. Clientele is a mix of international travelers. Amenity highlights: In summer, a private, 500-foot beach of golden sand is furnished with padded lounges. Hiking, biking, and jogging trails take guests deep into the alpine environment. Adirondack chairs surround firepits on a terrace fronting the resort's celebrated beachside restaurant. All guestrooms and public spaces have high-speed wireless Internet access (surcharge). In winter, shuttle service is available to select ski resorts. Insider tip: The bar at the end of the resort's 275-foot floating pier is the place to be for watching the sunset reflected on the lake before it slips behind the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Ciao Mein - The spot features an Italian/Asian menu with entrees such as Peking duck, Mongolian-beef pizza, open-face vegetable ravioli, and grilled lamb. The Sierra Café - Breakfast and dinner buffets and à la carte service all day. Seafood buffet Fridays, prime rib Saturdays. Mountain Grinds - Coffee, hot chocolate, and pastries.
The Lone Eagle Grille - Lodge-style lakefront restaurant featuring enormous rooms with oversize, vaulted ceilings and double-sided, river-rock fireplaces. | The Hyatt was wonderful. It is really the only place to stay for a Tahoe visit. The hotels in South Tahoe while nice are not in the same league, especially location-wise.

| Hotel was nice. However, they have a serious elevator shortage which leads to frequent waits. Also, many of the personnel do not speak a lot of English.

| We found the hotel relaxed and refreshing. If that is what you are looking for the Hyatt is great. If you are looking for the excitement of a busy casino and lots of restaraunt options - you might look at the south shore or Vegas. We did find their "better" restaraunt - The Lone Eagle" to be a bit overrated and overpriced.

| We booked this hotel last minute for an unscheduled getaway and could not have been more pleased. Swimming while it was snowing was magical, and the accommodations were first class. Service was outstanding, too. We can't wait to go back during the summer season.

| The Hyatt Regency is unquestionably the best hotel on North Lake Tahoe and their restaurant across the street on the lake shore is one of the finest I have enjoyed anywhere. Highly recommended.
