Opening March 23, 2005, this new hotel is made up of converted historical buildings, located in the old-city centre, close to cafes, bars and museums.
Guestrooms have contemporary decor and furnishings in soft beige; floors are wooden. All accommodations offer satellite television.
Icelandic cuisine is available in the restaurant; there is also an 18th-century bar as well as a terrace where wine is served.

Guests of the Hotel Reykjavik Centrum enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning. Fjalakotturinn - Guests can sample fine Icelandic cuisine, in a restaurant with modern surroundings. The restaurant is open all day and has an extensive wine list. Jonsstofa - Drinks and light snacks are available in a restored 18th century room with an open fire. The café bar also has a terrace, and is open afternoons and evenings.

| Spacious room by European standards. In the heart of the city. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would definately recommend this hotel to family and friends.

| this hotel is too expensive to recommend. sure it was clean, had friendly hotel staff, good location, but i don't think it rates above any other good downtown hotel. the reason i chose it was for the location and the historic buildings. the hotel is a collection of old builings put together in a very stylish way. however you can just walk around it to appreciate the design work. the room i had was very small and ordinary.

| Location was excellent, and rooms were clean and new. Hotel staff was very helpful. Next time I'd go for the deluxe double, as the standard is quite small, but it was a very nice stay.

| 1st trip to Iceland. Flight gets there about 6, arrived at hotel at 7. Check in at 2, but got me in at 10. Picked this one from description. Perfect location at the square at bottom of the main shopping street (Autastraeti or something like that). Very comfortable bed, free breakfast, good restaurant. Polite and helpful staff. Wish it had a fitness room. But overall extremely pleased.

| The hotel is in a great location for exploring the major shopping area of the city as well as many good restaurants. The rooms were large, comfortable, well-appointed, impecably clean, and furnished with yummy down comforters. Good value!

| This hotel was beyond my expectations. The location was fantastic--everything important was within walking distance. The hotel staff were very helpful, and all accomodations were brand new and clean. Becuase it is not an American-style hotel, do not expect big rooms/beds. I would absolutely return to the Reykjavik Centrum Hotel.

| The Centrum was able to give us our room at 8:00 in the morning when we arrived. We were grateful for that! The room was small but comfortable, quite clean, completely quiet. There was none of the noise from heat/ac that is typical of US hotels. The free breakfast was lovely, a full meal. The staff was pleasant, quick to help us. The location was perfect, right at the town square and in easy walking distance to most of the city.
