| This is a perfect place to stay if you are arriving via train, or departing Sevilla via train. Must see locations are a cheap cab ride away and hotel staff is very helpful. Breakfast is a little expensive but worth the investment.

| I stayed in the Hotel Occidental for one night in March 2006 and found it to be quite comfortable. The staff was professional, spoke great English, and were very helpful. The room service was prompt and the concierge had lots of advice about shopping and sites to see during my quick stop over. Even though it's right by the very large Santa Justa train station and several major roads, my room was very quiet. The only thing that I thought was odd was that there was no clock in my room other than the tv clock. I asked for a wake up call from the front desk so it wasn't a problem.

| Convenient location for a traveller by train or by car as the hotel is located close to the train station and there is public parking next door. One needs to take a taxi to downtown but it costs only a few Euros. Taxis are always available. Also there is a large shopping center within a walking distance from the hotel. The only issue we had in our hotel room was its temperature - airconditioning did not function as exactly as we wanted.

| The hotel was just in front of the high speed train that comos from Madrid ti Sevilla; very convinient if you are using the Ave (the high speed train from sevilla) it is not so close to downtown, but it is very easy to get a cab from there given that the train station i very close. The room was quiet enough to get a good sleep

| A wonderful hotel, a stone's throw from the high speed train station. Staff were very helpful, room was great. One of those places you walk away from thinking it was a great value. Will stay there again.

| The hotel is right near the train station, and a short cab ride to the center of the city. Well appointed hotel, with all the trappings. They were willing to hold my bags after checking out, so I could explore the city while waiting to take a late train out.

| Can't say enough good things about it. Rooms, lobby, restaurant are beautiful and the staff is helpful and courteous. The only downside is that it is not within walking distance of "downtown" Seville. It is not a problem though as taxis are right at the door at all times. This is not really an added expense if you consider the cab fare is only (around) 5 Euros. Considering the quality of the hotel and what you would pay for a closer place the Occidental is really a fabulous deal.
