Friendly, helpful staff. Our room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the food was quite good. Also, they offer valet parking or a self-park option for an additional fee. I would stay again.

Overall the hotel was very nice. It took a while, as in over an hour!, for the shuttle to pick us up at O'hare. The front desk staff refused to speak French, to our surprise, even though it's supposed to be French hotel. The room was very nioe, clean and the beds were fantastic, very comfortable. I guess I would recommend it to anyone, over the other hotels in the area.

The only complaint I have is we asked for non-smoking. The first room was super smokey, so they gave us another room. That room was worse. Finally, by the third try, the room was great. I guess they just went with all non-smoking rooms a couple of months ago, but some of the older "smoking" rooms still had the smell. So, be firm and get what you want!

The Sofitel is a beautiful hotel with great food and outstanding service, but it is expensive. I booked there because hotel rooms were hard to find, and I cringed when I did my expense report.

We stayed here for one night due to its close location to the airport. It is close, easy to find, and in good condition. The parking situation is a little strange for a hotel in this location, however. They charge additional for parking in the lot outside the hotel, and you have to get a pass which worked poorly while we were there. This is in the middle of suburbia, and that was an unexpected, not inconsiderable extra charge. The staff was unimpressive, not volunteering basic information about the hotel or their services. The rooms were clean, large, and quiet, so it was not an unpleasant experience. However, there are plenty of other options, and I would consider those before staying here again.

Our family attended a conference of 1000's of teens hosted at the nearby Hyatt O'Hare. The Sofitel was just far enough away to give a peaceful comfortable experience. We needed extra blankets and towels for the two friends of my son that traveled with us. The hotel staff delivered these promptly with no hassle. The room was very comfortable - a real first rate place for the family or on business. Highly recommended.
