| Don't go in the summer unless you love to sweat. Cabanas are 18/x18' tents and were supposed to be air conditioned. The problem was that the air conditioners were totally useless. They pumped out cold air OK but the air must have seeped through the canvas walls because the room temperature didn't drop one bit. The rooms were just as hot and sticky as the outside air. The A/C was a stand alone unit vented to the outside. The only was to sleep comfortably was to wheel the unit right to the foot of the bed and point the blower right on yourself. Bathroon were tiny and had only louvered b-fold doors for privacy. Make sure to pull you curtains because it's easy to see into cabanas. The dinner menu was poor - few choices. We chose not to eat on site. There were several local restaurants in Somerset Village and the Dockyards but figure $20 for transportation to and from. Actually dinner for 2 at the Dockyards was less expensive than dinner for 2 at 9 Beaches because the entrees cost less off site. Breakfast buffet was OK. We skipped lunch - wouldn't eat there after seeing mayonaisse bottles left on the tables in the hot sun all afternoon. Beaches could have used full-sized beach umbrellas because shade was at a premium. Cabana setting was good. All in all, the bad significantly outweighed the good. I observed several couples checking out early in favor of a different hotel.

| It just makes you smile - 9 Beaches was outstanding in every respect. 22 years ago I stayed at Elbow Beach. It was nice enough but it could have been any hotel in America. 9 Beaches is a wonderful adventure. Take this test. If you thought hiking the Appalachian Trail would be neat; if you like both cross country and downhill skiing; if the idea of flying in an open cockpit biplane to a grass field and camping sounds fun; in short if you are nature friendly and up for a little adventure, 9 Beaches would appeal to you. The rooms are like safari cabanas which flap in the wind like the sails on a schooner. You are as close to the water as you can be without being on a boat. The staff is energetic, extremely helpful and hard working. Plently of sea life along the beaches and rocks. Dinner the best of all the places we ate - they know how to cook fish. In short - a fantastic experience. I can't wait to come back.

| This hotel has all the makings of a great place, but still needs a lot of work on the details. Food needs to be improved, walls need to be painted, things need to be fixed. My daughter and I loved the cabana with the ocean view and the privacy of our space. This is not a place for you if you want a fancy resort experience and the cabana is best for only 2 people. The check-in process needs to be helped along with the quality of the concierge. I loved the cell phone, beach bag, towels and flip-flops that we were given to use. The hotel is a long way from Hamilton, so if you want to go into town a lot this will be expensive. Over-all, I would recommend but would make sure that there had been some improvements made.

| 9 Beaches was a unique experience for my husband and I. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find that our cabana had an amazing view of the ocean with a balcony overlooking the shoreline and a beach a few yards away. We were given a cell phone with a menu of contact numbers, giving us access to all the services provided by the resort and a way for us to make reservations and appointments outside the resort. 9 Beaches is a 10 minute cab ride from the Dockyard, so we were able to use the ferry and buses to get around the island. It was pleasantly secluded, but also required planning to get to and from places, and a good deal of time was spent waiting for connections from bus stops to ferry docks to cab stands. The menu at the resort had a variety of items and familiar food as well as some Bermudian dishes. The service was friendly and prompt. Overall we would visit this resort again and we enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who is looking for a more casual vacationing experience in Bermuda.

| Was perfect for us ... private, casual, beautiful, great snorkeling, a sense of adventure ... everything we needed and wanted. However, its not for everyone. If you are the type that are set on luxury ... posh surroundings, marble, chandeliers, perfect landscaping ... the big hotel feel ... this is not for you. 9 beaches is not "roughing" it ... I would choose it over posh hotel any day ... but not for everyone. Make sure you stay away from cabins that are down wind from the sheep. Closer to Daniel's head safe.

| The cabanas are extremely comfortable and private with stunning views over the water. Their unusual construction makes them cool and comfortable without having to have air conditioning. Having looked at some of the bigger, standard hotels on the island, I'm very glad we went off the beaten track a bit as the beaches are fab and the cabanas much nicer that the standard international hotel room. The only downside is that it is a bit remote and quiet so you need to either arrange taxis/shuttles or get a moped to go out and about to eat/explore elsewhere. The hotel was a bit pricey but we definitely enjoyed it.

| This is a not quite a luxury hotel but a lot better than a summer camp. The rooms are small cabins with stretched canvas walls and rough floors. The staff was friendly and helpful, they gave us a free upgrade to one of the best room, that is, one built on stilts over the water. You can hear the waves and feel the wind all of the time. A lot of fun but probably not for everybody. If you like a casual place that's fun and doesn't take itself too seriously, this is for you. If you want a luxury hotel, try elsewhere.

| We arrived at 9 beaches to find a resort slightly different from the description. The cabanas are primitive, however, the location was wonderful. Our room had bugs, they gave us some spray, didn't think we should have to deal with that for the price we were paying for the aqua-vista cabana. The nightly cruises on the resorts boat were fantastic. Staff was almost too laid back, slow in getting service.
