| How lovely our stay was at The Elms. It had been many years since our last stay, but the hotel has now been beautifully refurbished and has the most beautiful outdoor pool - set among pines and an acre of forest! Our room was clean and roomy with a very nice firm king size bed. We had coffee maker and refrigerator w/view overlooking pool. Couples massage was great and everyone very professional! Wish we had taken advantage of more spa services but we will go back and stay longer. We did eat at the Wabash BBQ down the street and that was good. It's in an old train depot (now the BBQ). Breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was excellent.

| The hotel was very picturesque and the grounds well kept. The doors to the rooms could use a fresh coat of paint, the AC was loud, and the pipes make "old noises" this is nothing compared with the charm and beauty of this hotel. The pool and hot tub were wonderful, the staff was attentive, the beds were comfortable, and the rooms were plenty big for my husband and I. They have a romanitically lit path for night time walks and the pool is open until midnight which is handy for late night swims in the summer heat or relaxing in the hot tub. The wabash bbq place just down the block is definitly worth it to walk to for dinner. We didn't find the hiking trails other than the sidewalks around town and the short one around the grounds. Overall this is a great place for a romantic getaway and the kids would love the pool and the space to run around. We saw several wedding parties on the grounds holding receptions and ceremonies during our stay so I'm assuming it's popular for those as well. We would definitly reccommend this location.
