| This hotel offers all the amenities needed by the business traveler in a convenient, quiet and attractive setting. Food was great and the staff, from the front desk through all food and beverage personnel were not just professional and efficient but seemed to eagerly go out of their way to be of assistance.

| While the people were quite nice and helpful when I needed directions and help with luggage, and the one meal I had from room service was delicious and served promptly, the room itself was not clean. I moved an ottoman and found someone's sock under it, and there was a cardboard insert from a new pair of shoes behind the chair. Ugh. I did report this to the front desk as I checked out, and they were appropiately appalled and thanked me for bringing this to their attention. It remains to be seen, however, what they will do about maintaining a cleaner environment inside the rooms.

| The most impressive point was that the lobby staff were able to give detailed information on local sites and where to go to beat the crowds - a very nice touch.

| This hotel was rated 3.5 stars.. *snicker* hidden gem alert people. It looked almost exactly like this one 5 star hotel I frequent in Los Angeles, pound for pound an almost exact replica. The beds were very comfy (2 twins). Furniture was nice and well maintained. TV was decent, batteries in remote were good, standard movie selections. Bathroom was clean, nice shower head, no mold, plenty of towels, and toiletries. Temperature was controlled by an unit within the room. The room overlooked a beautiful view as the hotel is situated a top a little hill. The window opened enough to let in some fresh Maine air. The only thing the room really lacked that set it apart from a 5 star was the absence of a minibar. Everything else was just pristine. I travel often and in my stays this would have easily been ranked a 4.5 or 5. Though my fams didn't make use of the sauna or pool, there was one available that many of the guests took full advantage of. The staff was extremely polit and it was just an all around wonderful stay. The literally seem to bend over backwards for you, lol. Food was standard from the hotel restaurant but nonetheless very good.. but I'll stop cuz I've rambled enuf. 3 cheers for the Sable Oaks Marriot - 9 years running best hotel in that area. Go see the placard yourself in the lobby.
