| Although the rooms were lovely, and air-conditioned, the hotel's lobby and restaurants were not. We stayed overnight during a hot spell, and were amazed that a hotel of this caliber would lack air-conditioning in its most commonly used areas. We were told that this is typical for UK facilities. Neither Heathrow nor Manchester airports had much air conditioning, either. (Neither did Paris's Charles De Gaulle Airport, for that matter.) On the plus side, the hotel's location enabled us to walk our luggage through some airport corridors (also not air-conditioned) using airport carts, and this was very convenient. There were also carts in the hotel's lobby, for easy transport back to the airport.

| The best and most convenient airport hotel in Manchester and one of the best airport hotels in UK. Great facilities for business / meetings and a couple of good restaurants. If you need to be at/near the airport stay at this hotel but if you can afford to be 20 mins away, stay in a hotel at Manchester city center as the atmosphere is totally different.

| You can leave your plane and then arrive at your hotel just 5 minutes later--if the hotel is the Radisson SAS at Manchester Airport (UK). You enter the hotel right from the covered walkway that connects Terminal 2 to Terminals 1 and 3. On occasion, though, the check-in process may take longer than the walk from your gate to the hotel. The Radisson SAS is modern, clean, quiet, comfortable, and well maintained. It is not inexpensive by any means, but for a major airport hotel right on the premises, the cost of a stay is not exorbitant. Each floor has a different decor (maritime, Italian, etc.). Beds are comfortable. There are good desk- and bedside lamps, but overall room lighting, with all lights on, is still a bit inadequate. Bathrooms are spotless. The hotel offers a main restaurant and a brasserie. The former has an varied but unexciting menu, with prices that I find excessive. The brasserie offers simpler food--salads, sandwiches, a few entrees--all of which are acceptable, but I consider the dining experience the least satisfying part of a stay at the hotel (and since the other dining choices in the airport are as unimpressive as you would expect of an airport, I think the Radisson SAS easily could and should do better). That is virtually my only criticism of the hotel; almost everything else about my 3 visits has been entirely satisfactory. For "overall satisfaction" my rating of "4" could be a "4+." I know of few airport hotels that are better.
