| Breakfast (and a substantial one too) on the roof terrace is a fabulous way to start the day, with fantastic views of the Washington monument and the White House. Rooms were of an adequate size, but very clean and quiet. The hotel could do with re-decorating but this didn't spoil my stay there. Staff were extremely helpful and overall I rate this hotel as good value for money.

| The rooms in this hotel are really small, if yor booking for 4 people with two full sized beds, don't expect much elbow room. And - You must pay for parking!

| Hotel Washington is located about a block from the White House and the Washington Monument. You can easily walk to the Lincoln Memorial and the Smithsonian museums. The rooms are relatively small and felt out-dated. The Skyline restuarant is open air with excellent views and a typical outside menu faire and for DC, it is reasonably priced. I highly recommend the cheese platter. The room service is fast and friendly.

| The lobby of the hotel is nice, but my room was very small. I did not get a monument room, so my window overlooked a disgusting alley. Also, I tried to eat dinner on the roof terrace, but after being seated, no one paid any attention to us. We waited for about 10 minutes and not once did a waiter come over. We left the restaurant and opted for room service. Upon check-out, I tried to pay my incidentals in cash, but the front desk did not have any change. This trip was purely for leisure, but there were several aspects that were just annoying.

| This is a great place to launch your explorations into what DC has to offer. The terrace is a great place to sit and look at the view and sip cocktails, but I don't recommend the food which was really not that good.
