| Hard to locate, especially at night. Make sure to get good directions beforehand. Rooms are apartment like but quaint. The 1 bdrm had the living/dining areas in the same open space as the bed. The bathroom was large and had a jacuzzi style tub as well as shower, which was also quite large and very nice. The kitchen was cramped but adequate -if you're a coffe drinker you'll be disappointed with the kettle/filter over the cup method. Turn down service is also offered but inconvenient. Was in the tub the first evening when the doorbell rang. Had to get out just to receive two cookies that were brought by staff. The main lodge provides wifi but not in room; you'll have to ask for a dsl cord to connect. Overall the stay was pleasant but I expected a little more for the price, especially since this was off-peak. Will probably look elsewhere for my next stay but that's based more on personal preference than a negative reflection on the accomodations.

| If you want real relaxation, this is the place. Great accomodations, quiet, comfortable, excellent food, fabulous scenery. And only a few minutes from all the excitement of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge if you want family activities galore. This rates very high on our list of great vacations.

| Rooms are very comfortable and spacious, very nice property located within the National Park. Excellent place for family vacation, plenty of things to do for everyone. Hotel service is very good but need to improve housekeeping services to reach excellence. Definitively will go back.

| This hotel far exceeded our expectations. We loved the decor and feel which was tasteful and yet reminded us we had come to the mountains to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. The room was cleaned daily, including adding dirty dishes to DW and running. Each evening we returned to our room to find our bed turned down and a yummy homebaked treat waiting for us (enough for our family of four). We had a lovely complimentary breakfast each morning as we sat outside and enjoyed the spectacular view. But what most impressed us was the pavilion area which they do not do justice to in the add. We were driven down to their pavilion at our request (there is also a hiking path). Once there we were greeted by a lit fire in the fireplace, soft music and comforts such as bottled waters and even bug spray (which we had forgotten but didn't need). The lodge employee then lit a fire for us and we made smores, enjoyed the hammock by the stream and waded in the water with our children and their fishing pools. It was a great experience and the next time we will plan on spending much more time just enjoying the amenities of the lodge. The one suggestion I would have for the hotel as an improvement would be to add a small functional dresser within the room. There were two areas in which one would fit nicely. Overall, we will never look for another place to stay in the Smokey Mountains as long as The Lodge at Buckberry Creek is available.

| The lodge is way, way up above the hustle of Gatlinburg (in fact you will not even know that burg is even there) with a wonderful view of the National Park. Our room had a separate kitchenette (stove, fridge/freezer, sink, microwave, and large countertop), Jacuzzi tub, separate shower and toilet area. The main room had more than enough space, even with a king-size bed, sofa, chair, dining table, coffee table, chest, and built-in gas-log fireplace. We had a lower level room, but it did have a balcony that afforded a wonderful view of the distant mountains. In the evening the staff left a plate of freshly baked cookies on our bed, which was a wonderful surprise upon returning from a day of hiking in the park. The free continental breakfast was usual fair, but without much selection (coffee, juice, cereal). However, there was a quality dining room and cooking staff and you could dine either inside or outside on the balcony. Upscale evening dining was also available. The Lodge at Buckberry Creek is a little hard to find, but worth the extra effort. If you spend any time at all on the main drag in Gatlinburg, you will be glad to get away from all the bustle and hustle and experience more of what staying in the Smokey Mountains should be like.

| We had a glorious weekend. The lodge provided mountain cabin atmosphere, with a touch of class. The little extras that were complimentary were a nice touch. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel one night. Excellent!

| Lodge is private and secluded yet only a short drive down the mountain to Gatlinburg. Room is rustic yet luxurious with a six foot jacuzzi tub, seperate marble shower, double sinks and kitchette. Restaurant isn't open on Sunday and breakfast on Monday was limited (they ran out of sausage, raisin bread, etc.) Better bet is to go down to Gatlinburg to eat or bring groceries up with you. Take the hike down to the creek and see the picnic pavilion with TV, bar, fireplace and hammock.

| My daughter and I couldn't have been any happier with our vacation at The Lodge at Buckberry Creek. The atmosphere is one of elegance and at the same time very comfortable. We felt as though we were in a private mountain retreat. The staff was like family, and treated us like royalty. Beautiful view, clean, accommodating, beautiful decor, simply awesome.
