| This is an older hotel, so it has the good and bad points of such. The room was spacious and had nice decorations but the bathroom was smaller than you would expect in a modern hotel in middle America. The bathroom had the hotel's line of shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. I liked these but you may not. The TV channel selection was very limited but that is typical of hotel/motels in the area. I was upset that the TV did not feature closed captioning but it did allow me to raise the volume to where I could hear. On the nights we were there the lobby/lounge was crowed with people enjoying the music and drinks. You can chose either valet parking or self parking. The Valet service was prompt and friendly. I have done the self parking before and in hot times you may not wish to walk a block to your car. You really need to make reservations if you want to go to the spa for the baths, etc. I recommend making those as soon as you can before arrival.

| We found a roach in our room. When we arrived, we waited in line for 20 minutes to check in to the hotel. It took us about the same to check out. We weren't able to check out in our room, via the guest services tv option. It doesn't work.

| The room was large, with a great view, but the walls were scuffed and the bathroom was cramped and very dated. I'm sure it would be expensive to renovate the bathrooms in every room, but I think it would be well worth it. Also, the room was freezing, but the rooms don't have individual air units, so our only option was to turn off the air entirely. Finally, it was raining when we arrived , and both the free parking lot and the valet lot were completely full, so we ended up having to pay for parking at an unsecured lot. Personally, next time I'll pay a little less and stay at a chain where I can be assured that things are a little more up to date.
