| I have had to be in Boston every three months over the past two years, and have always stayed in the Back Bay area to be close to business and the best restaurants and shopping. All of the hotels in which I have stayed previously were more expensive than the Royal Sonesta, and several of them were not nearly as well appointed ,staffed , or as comfortable. The hotel is very Contemporary in its design, rather than the old Boston elegance of the Back Bay boutique hotels, but the rooms were furnished with very new and comfortable furniture and the views of the Charles River were spectacular from the room. The lobby and Dante's Grill looked like a stylish Manhattan address.I plan on making the Royal Sonesta my new home away from home.

| The hotel's at a prime location. Wake up and you can cross the street straight to restaurants and the Cambridge Galeria Mall. A stroll later and you're at the T green-line and have access to the rest of Boston. You can also walk down to Kendall Square if you like. Service was good. Most of the attendants were eager to help. The room service people were polite and would say "good morning" on your way out. Small things that make a big difference. When I was there for July 4th weekend, they had these complimentaries that although I didn't take full advantage of them, others probably would. I myself enjoyed the free ice cream. I think others should take advantage of the free 2-hour bike rental and also the Charles River boat rides. Now the dislikes. I had to call front desk three times cause my safe deposit box kept giving SEr (service error code) on me. On the third time, they replaced the box. As a guest you shouldn't have to deal with that. Bathroom smelled slightly sewery, especially when you're coming from outside. Maybe it's something wrong with the plumbing. It's subtle, but still unpleasant. TV was finicky. I got tired of seeing sporadic lines across the screen, some of which would cover 1/3 of the middle area. When you come back after a long day, all you want is some late night TV and go to bed, not call for service. This prompted me to change to another room. It was too many maintenance problems to deal with staying in a single room.

| This hotel was a pleasure to stay at, with a great Boston/Chrles River view from most rooms, fabulous beds, linens, and pillows, free wireless internet, and a great pool/spa/workout area. There's a river walk path right outside the hotel's rear patio entrance (where you can take your meals on nice days), and it's just a hop, skip and jump onto Storrow Drive for your Boston destination. The conceierge desk was always manned with knowledgable and expeditious staff, who helped with everything from restaurant & tour recommendations, shopping, and FedEx service. The new restaurant, Dante, is a happening place that was being filmed for a TV feature while I was there. And, it's right across from the Cambridge Galleria, which is a destination for Bostonians. The hotel also has an interesting art collection, with a self-guided tour. Customer Service was 5-star, and all staff were incredibly friendly.

| I stayed in a single traveler room, which was more spacious than I expected. In addition to a double bed, it also had a desk with two chairs. The room was very clean and comfortable.

| Since I was traveling alone I booked a single travelers room. I was expecting a broom closet but it was way more than I expected. I even had a window overlooking the Charles River. The staff was extremely courteous and very helpful with all my questions. The nearest T station was only about 5 minutes away. The Galleria across the street was convenient - especially when I just wanted to get a quick bite to eat. I would definitely stay here again!!!

| The staff was very friendly & helpful to someone who had never been to Boston before. The room wasn very tidy, but very small. Tip for booking the "Traveler's Room" - it's like a mini room. Comfortable by all means, just don't spend too much time there. It was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

| although the cafe's prices were too expensive ($9.00 for a glass of wine that costs as little as $7. per bottle in the grocery store), and the room cleaning was done in shifts, this hotel has the most incredible customer service staff I have found in a very long time. My son needed a piano to rehearsoe for an audition and we were immidiately where there was one available in the hotel. When we needined directions to downtown Boston and directions to the use of the underground mass transit, the staff was knowledgeable and were able to direct us to the appropriate mode of transport. Although notany larger than other hotel rooms (we had a room with 2 double beds), the beds were very comfortable with their down pillows and comforters! We will definitely return!!
