Marriott's BeachPlace Towers Amenities
This 19-story hotel rises above BeachPlace Mall. (The hotel is not affiliated with the mall.) A tunnel to the beach allows pedestrians to avoid crossing the surface street. Across the street in the other direction are clubs and other nightlife.

A Pizza Hut, Starbucks, and convenience store are on the lobby level. Hotel elevators offer access to shops, restaurants, the pool, and the tunnel to the beach. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in all guestrooms and public spaces.

The children’s play center offers organized and “free-play” activities, including a game room, movie nights, sundae-making, tie-dyeing, air hockey, and beach fun. Some activities have a surcharge; many do not.

Recreation
The hotel has a large outdoor pool and two spa tubs, along with a pool table and Ping-Pong table. Children have their own array of organized and “free-play” activities. A large exercise center is on the lobby level.

The ocean beach is across the street. Abundant recreational activities, including sport fishing, parasailing, scuba diving, boating, golf, and tennis, are available nearby.

The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

Features
What to expect: With a prime location atop popular BeachPlace Mall and across from the ocean beach, this hotel draws guests before and after their cruises; vacationing families, and corporate types who want to be in the middle of the all the Fort Lauderdale action, yet literally above it. The hotel starts at the sixth floor of the mall, and the lobby area features a colorful aquarium.

Amenity highlights: A tunnel leads under the street directly to the beach, but there’s plenty to do at the Marriott itself. The hotel has an outdoor lap pool with two spa tubs and large sundeck with pool table, Ping-Pong table, and bar. The spacious fitness center includes men’s and women’s saunas. The hotel offers structured activities for children, as well as a supervised play center that includes a game room, movie room, and gym.

Insider tip: Greater Fort Lauderdale is known as the Venice of America, with miles of restaurants, shops, and multimillion-dollar homes along the Intracoastal Waterway. The best way to see it all is via the 70-seat, air-conditioned Water Bus that stops at 20 spots throughout Fort Lauderdale, including a stop one block from the hotel. An all-day pass is $5 (price subject to change).

The Marketplace, located on the lobby level, offers a Starbucks, Pizza Hut, and grocery/gift shop.

Poolside Bar - Open from mid-morning to early evening. Guests may order snacks delivered from the Marketplace.

The hotel does not operate its own restaurant, but there are numerous dining options in the mall underneath the hotel (accessible via hotel elevators).

This hotel has just about everything- the room was spacious and very comfortable, and much nicer than I expected, and below the hotel are wonderful restaurants and bars, and shops. We only went for four days, and were very sorry it wasn't a week long stay. The service everywhere was wonderful- friendly, attentive, and efficient, from the hotel to all the restaurants. There are some things we were not very happy about, but if you are prepared for them you will still have a very enjoyable trip. One, there are four elevators, which are not enough to serve this hotel, so there are times where there is a short wait. Second, the hotel is designed so that the first three floors are the outdoor shopping area- there is no direct elevator to the hotel from here. You have to go back into the parking garage to get to your room. Third, the parking garage itself is very poorly designed. We were in an accident there during our stay, and the police and other locals let us know that it happens all the time there. Truthfully we were just so relaxed and were having such a nice time that even the accident didn't put much of a damper on our trip. One other thing I wasn't aware of is that this is a time share place, and they did contact us three separate times to try to get us to go to the meeting. I politely refused, and went about my day. We will definitely be going back, as soon as our vacation hours build up again!

From the time we arrived at the Marriott it was a pleasant experience. The hotel is located right across the street from the beach and sits on top of a shopping center. This location is great for kids and single adults. The hotel has activities for the kids everyday of the week. Some have fees. The pool area was clean and the concierge was fantastic. Getting to the beach was easy and safe with the underground walkway to avoid having to cross the busy street. Great bars, shops and restaurants all within a short walking distance. Just beware of the some of the hidden fees, i.e. parking, beach chair and umbrella rentals. They can be costly per day.

Great hotel for the money & location. I booked the deluxe room/studio, very roomy, there's a king size bed and a queen sofa bed. There's a microwave, toaster, and a coffee maker as well. I got a room with the ocean view, wow it was nice. Hotel was close to the beach, just cross the street and you're there. Outdoor pool is nice along with the two jacuzzi's. Pizza hut and starbucks are within the hotel as well. Try sloppy joe's buffalo wings, very very spicy but very very tasty or max's grill's 3-for-1 drinks, great bargain, they're both in Beach Place. Hooters is a good place for guys but not a good place for food, I give it a 5 for food. Wouldn't recommend snokeling in fort lauderdale, the water is not clear and you WILL get sea sick from the boat ride, grand cayman and the bahamas are much better for that. Must take the water taxi, it's $10 for a one-day unlimited pass. It takes you to lots of stops in fort lauderdale and the driver might sometimes tell you a little something about the millionaire houses along the waterway.

The hotel was located centrally to all the shops and restaurants. Not to mention across the street from the infamous Fort Lauderdale beaches. The suite I had confirmed catered to all my needs. Price, comfort and quality is what I was looking for and it is what I received. Great hotel

Excellant hotel location ,location. Hotel rooms were clean an occasional spot on the rug but overall pretty clean.Views that you can't beat. The shops and restaurants attached to the hotel would be better if you could charge to your room.Plenty to do in the area snorkel, fish, sight see, everglades, even a quick cruise to the bahamas. There were a couple of things that annoying the elevators were extremely unadequate. If you tried to take the stairs you ran the risk of not being able to exit on the floor you were trying to get to due to lock doors. The operation of the elevators when to use your room key changes without any type of normalcy. You had to pay twelve dollars a for parking Which we knew going in but was still tough to swallow. Everything considered we would go back in a heartbeat though!

The hotel was awesome; location perfect, right across from beach. Room had everything we could ask for. We actually stayed an extra day cause it was so nice. We will definitely be coming back and staying at this hotel. People very friendly, helpful and courteous. With it being right at "Beach Place" there are a lot of shopping and eating options there for you. I think we hit all the restaurants in 4 days! What a variety. You should definitely stay here when visiting Ft. Lauderdale.. you'll love it!
