| The climate control system in this hotel needs work. Three of my colleagues and I stayed at this hotel and found that the rooms were hot when we arrived. Even after adjusting the electronic temperature control the rooms varied from too cold (one called the room meat locker cold) to warm.

| EVERY employee I encountered was 100% professional and eager to be of service. This is rare these days. All accomodations were exactly as promoted, no unplesant surprises. 5 STAR in my book!!

| My trip started a bit rocky with a 7 hour delay coming out of O'Hara, causing me to arrive at the hotel at 12:30am hungry and tried. This was my first trip to Columbia SC so I did not know the area at all, so you could only image how happy I was to see that Residence included popcorn with the room. Between the popcorn, spacious room, big TV and a wonderfully comfortable bed they truly turned a bad day into something much better. I am not kidding about the bed, it was the most comfortable mattress I have slept in at a hotel...and it is about time, for me anyway, that is the only piece of furnature I really use in hotel room and rock hard beds makes for a long day. Anyway, the whole week was perfect, staff and everyone there were happy to help and made the stay great, so I was able to enjoy my workshop and a bit of golf. Which was the plan...so I will look for a Residence Inn again.
