| it has features that make up for it. First of all, there is a shuttle service to the beach that runs every half hour pretty much all day. Second, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Third, the price was right.

| We recently stayed at this hotel for one night. The bed was very comfortable and adequate space for two people. This place is 15-20 min walk from the beach. We found it convenient to take our car in the evening and park on the street to avoid walking back late in the night. This place was not too overcrowded like other hotels near the beach. Checkin time is at 4pm (yeah! very inconvenient) but they let us use their facilities and free shuttle service to the beach.

| My husband and I met in Virginia Beach when he returned from Iraq. I contacted the front desk the day before we were scheduled to arrive and notified them that my husband had been gone for 8 months and I wanted to do something special for him. They graciously upgraded our room free of charge to a suite. The staff was wonderful, the rooms were undergoing renovations so some items were not complete however it was very clean and spacious. It was a short drive to the boardwalk, and worth the savings not being "right on the beach"

| Having read bad reviews of this hotel prior to booking my trip, I wasn't expecting much. I was not dissapointed. I booked this hotel because I wanted a reasonably priced, large full-service hotel within walking distance of the beach. In all fairness, that is exactly what I got. My complaints? The rooms, bathrooms, elevators and pool areas are all in desperate need of upgrades. One elevator slammed shut on my shoulders as I entered it. But my biggest complaint was that I ordered room service for breakfast my last morning there. It cost $41.00 for two egg breakfasts! It was delivered a half hour after I requested it to be delivered.(10am) I got two plates of cold eggs, stale, lukewarm coffee. No salt, pepper or cream. Unacceptable, especially when there is a 24 hour McDonalds right up the street. I could have gotten the same thing fresh, in less time for a third of the price.
