Very friendly, helpful staff. Room was large and comfortable. Hotel is older and the bathroom fixtures could use some updating but all in all it was a very pleasant stay.

I spent 2 nights and 2 days at this hotel. The meals I had were either cold or reheated in a Microwave. The rest of the services were very good, they just need work in their kitchen.

If you are looking for ambiance in el Paso, then this is it. Its in the downtown area cetrally located. There Dome Bar, Blu and the Central Cafe are the best places to hang out in El Paso. My trip happened to be the weekend of El Paso's summer festival and it was very crowded so I can say how things are like on any other weekend. The room was clean, the service helpful and the parking free. On the downside, I would make three major recommendations that need to be addressed. First, there needs to be more electrical outlets available. Between my phone charger, laptop, PDA, my son's DVD player, I kept having to alternate what was charing. I may be an extreme case but it would be nice to have a phone and laptop charging without having to disconnect the lamp, at least. Second, the bathroom water needs to be hot. It was mild. Lastly, the WIFI access should be available on all 17 floors. I was on the 12th and had to struggle to access the internet. I had to go down to the lower levels to access the FREE network. The pool and excercise room where very nice and clean. i would recommend Azuelos, the hotel restaurant. they have a great breakfast buffet. i really would not want to stay anywhere else in el Paso. we had alot of fun and enjoyed our stay very much.

The hotel is very elegant and at one time was probably extremely upscale, but due to its age and location has become less appealing. To be fair renovations are in progress and this hotel has very spacious rooms, and a great fitness center and pool. It does have a business center also but is very small and only has two computers with one printer.

I think I would go back if I could not get accomodations elsewhere first, this hotel pillows were to soft like cotton, I woke up with a neck arche the first day. And there were other areas that should have been much cleaner. Service was pretty good.

I was on the 9th floor which was too far away from the routers for wireless internet access to work. I did not have a desk to work on in my room. I always like room service - pretty good food too!

A lovely historic hotel with a Tiffany glass dome in the fine dining restaurant on first floor, and a nice garden style patio adjoining the casual restaurant. The location was extremely convenient for downtown business. Staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay again if I have further business in El Paso, or if I travel to El Paso for leisure.

The lobby of the hotel is beautiful and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The shuttle is easy to use and they even drove us to the mall and picked us up. It's very easy to buy coffee in the morning at the restaurant in the hotel and bring it up to your room. Also, access to the internet is very convenient. My only reservation about this hotel was the condition of our room. The bathroom was dated and the electrical outlet was coming off the wall. The carpet had stains and the room felt musty until we turned on the air conditioner. We didn't complain because we felt for the price we paid, we got our moneys worth and we didn't spend much time at the hotel. Also I somewhat expected this because of other reviews I read on Expedia. Overall I felt very comfortable in this hotel and would definitely stay there again if I visited El Paso.

I have just spent one night at the hotel, which is almost 100 years old. Furniture is slightly run down but in general I would say it is pretty clean. Hotel staff is extremely helpful.
