The room was small but comfortable. It was clean, but i still felt the need to disinfect the bathroom a little more. The location is good. Only 10 to 15 minutes to Manhatten by train. T station is very close,5 min walk. The area is safe regardless of what the first impression may be. Great romanian restaurant right next to it. I would stay there again.

Decent hotel. Staff was the not the most personable/friendly though. Have a computer available for guest use, but every time we saw it, a hotel employee was using! Subway is very convienent for going into NYC - Right across from hotel.

The hotel is located on Queens Blvd and one half block from a subway stop.....But, you can drive into Manhatten accross the Quensboro Bridge (No Toll) arrive at 2nd Avenue turn left and follow the street numbers down from 56th Street.... The Hotel is recently renovated and has a small parking lot in the back.....Rooms are spacious and clean and breakfast was plentiful.....

Went here to stay with my girlfriend when visiting Queens. Great price, free parking is great, close to a subway stop. The hotel was nice and new, and the rooms were big and clean with a nice bathroom.

I go to NYC about 15 times a year for business. I have stayed all over Manhatten. First time to stay in Queens. This hotel was cleaner and bigger than anythiing I have ever stayed in. The price was outstanding. 7 train into Manhatten is 2 blocks away. Cab ride from LaGuardia less than 20 bucks with tip. Staff was extremely helpful. Just can't beat the convienence and price. Family friendly as well.

I chose this hotel to reduce cost considerably over hotels in Manhattan, and for that it was acceptable. It is within walking distance of some good ethnic restaurants and easy access to the subway. The room was (mostly) perfectly fine: clean and comfortable. My biggest three complaints were: access to the city, curtains that didn't close, and getting back to the airport. 1) On one weekend evening during my stay, it rained very hard-- delaying and eventually shutting down subway access from Queens to Manhattan. Since it was raining so much, it was also hard to find a taxi back to Queens because everyone in Manhattan seemed to be in a cab. 2) My room overlooked McDonalds and only gauzy fabric stood between me and the giant M all night so it was fairly bright in my room even in the middle of the night. 3) Finally, I arranged for the front desk to call a cab for me upon my departure and instead they called a limo service that I think may have overcharged me. When I return to NYC, I'll probably try to stay in Manhattan just because it would be more convenient to the types of things I want to do, but if I need to stay in Queens, I'd stay here again.

We were very impressed with the quality of this hotel for the money. Even though it is not in Manhattan, it is only a short subway ride from Times Square (10 minutes). And it is only a two-block walk from the subway to the hotel! The neighborhood feels relatively safe, though we always got back to the hotel before midnight. Please be aware that sometimes at night on the weekends, the subway only runs express trains and you may not be able to get off at the hotel's stop and will have to take a short cab ride. The room was small but not claustrophobic. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. Soundproof windows kept the street noise to a minimum. There is also a nice free breakfast (cereal, bagels, juice, coffee) in the morning. I am definitely going back.

The hotel had a dorm feel upon arrival. We requested non-smoking but were put in a VERY smelly smoking room. No amenities. Convenient to subway.
