| We stayed here for 2 nights while in the area - its close to Hollywood and the beaches and so its very convenient. Also there are shops and restaurants right next to the hotel - so if you are tired at the end of the day, you don't have to go too far for food and other supplies. And having free internet is nice too.

| I thought that this place was very reasonably priced and the room was clean and neat. There was even internet access, although not wireless.

| The outside of the motel - is quite old and in disrepair - however the front desk says that they are planning on updating it. The rooms are actually nice and have recently been remodeled. My only complaint would be that the beds are VERY firm. Overall if your looking to stay at a place that is reasonably comfortable in a "decent" neighborhood with restaurants and grocery close by (across the street) - you can't beat the price.

| Very simple motel. Just like many other mediocre motels out there. Beds fairly comfortable. Pillows a little flat, sheets not fitted and bunch up or pull off in the course of a night's sleep. But it was all clean. If you just need a place to sleep it's OK. We registered with 4 people in the room. Just 2 towels. We went and got 2 more. Next day, cleaned the room, but just 2 towels again. The hot tub was not hot, but the pool was adequate. One evening it appeared (residents?) of the motel were having a drinking party poolside. Not conducive to a family gathering at the pool. We went back to our room. One plus was the DSL internet in the room. Not wireless. They provide a cable to plug in for a $10 deposit. Many restaurants nearby and a grocery store across the street. The motel was quiet. No traffic or other noise.

| This is an old-style California motel, with outside stairwells and balconies leading to most rooms. But the rooms are updated with nice furniture and fixtures. Even crown moldings. Convenience refrigerator. Free high-speed Internet via Ethernet cable. And the location is wonderful -- across the street from several pleasant eateries and coffee shops.

| Sheets vs. Mattress Pad |

| I don't think it's too much to ask to have a bottom sheet that covers the mattress pad, especially since the pads are not removed and cleaned on a regular basis at ANY hotel. 6 nights out of 7 I pulled the duvet and sheet down to find the bottom sheet was too short and left about 8 inches of mattress pad exposed. Personally, I find sleeping with my feet on a mattress pad disgusting, but call me crazy. After calling down to the main office every night, they cheerily brought an extra sheet, which I draped over the bottom half of the bed and tucked it in. Problem solved, but you'd think after 6 straight nights of this that they'd have a chat with the housekeeper and she'd make the bed correctly. Why can't they just use fitted sheets, anyway? Yes, this is a "cheap" hotel for the area, but with competition in this price range, they should do a better job with the basics. Also, you will need to ask for blankets if you get cold at night. There is only a sheet and the yucky duvet cover thing, which I threw on the floor every night. Otherwise, I appreciated the free internet, fridge and microwave in room, and the fact that the room was clean. It was also great that there are a lot of dining options, two grocery stores and a drug store across the street, and two malls within a few miles down Topanga Canyon Blvd. For a week where I just needed a room to sleep in, it was OK.
