| This hotel was not at all what we expected. It is definitely a tourist class hotel. The time we spent there, most of the guest were British tourist who had booked specials. First the possitive - the balcony was nice to have. People were friendly but amenities were definitely lacking. Upon arrival (end of June and HOT) I noticed the air conditioning was not working. When I asked about it at the front desk they replied that they don't turn it on until July. Neither our room, nor any of the others I saw had televisions in the rooms. The breakfast is mediocre-no fresh anything and instant coffee - at least the tea is real. It is one of the few hotels that offer something even close to a decent rate for a tripple room, but the beds are twin/singles and extremely firm. The 3rd & 4th beds are only moderately better than a rollaway. The biggest complaint was the noise level - the train next to the hotel was the least of our problems. It was too hot to close the balcony doors - so the 6 am wakeup call from from the scrap metal salvager and his dog barking all night & the motorini racing up and down the tiny street made it virtually impossible to sleep. If you stay here - bring ear plugs - and if it is not July yet....or after September when they probably turn the air off - bring/buy a fan to provide some air circulation.
