The Blue Heron is a well-kept secret; it is an extremely well-maintained hotel with an absolutely pristine beach, that we had almost to ourselves at certain times. We traveled in the beginning of June and although there were other hotel guests, it was very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely return.

This was a great resort for our honeymoon trip. Quiet, good service, nice room, great beach. Tends to be an older crowd so don't expect a party atmosphere. Good snorkeling at one end of the beach. Recommend renting a car or taking the bus to get around, as cabs get expensive given the hotel's location on the island. Food's quite good, especially the fish. Go all-inclusive.

We visited in 2001. Good medium class hotel. Excellent service, location etc. which prompted us to return. Unfortunately no maintenance appears to have been carried out since our last trip. No hot water, A/C not working, very small bed etc Staff helpful and changed our room which wasn't a lot better. Their attitude was 'you only get what you pay for'. Food and entertainment very good. Certainly return to the island but not this hotel.
