THEhotel at Mandalay Bay Amenities
Although only steps away from Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, this hotel's specialty is providing peace and quiet amid the busy hustle of Las Vegas. It has its own private entrance—accessible only to guests with keycards—and once inside, the city's din is replaced by the sound of fountains, and the bright sun fades into cool, soothing colors. The hotel's premier on-site amenity is the bathhouse spa. Enhanced with pools and flowing waterfalls, the spa offers facials, body treatments, massage, and a salon (manicures, pedicures, tanning, and waxing). A gym with exercise equipment is attached, and guests can take yoga classes and work with a personal trainer (surcharges apply). General spa amenities are available for a facility fee of $30 (free with any service over $50) and include use of the redwood sauna, warm and hot spa tubs, relaxation lounge, gym, eucalyptus steam room, cold plunge pool, shower facility, vanity amenities, spa attire, and refreshments (all fees subject to change). Also on site is a store with newspapers, magazines, sundries, and snacks, a coffeeshop, a 24-hour café, a lounge with billiards, and Mix, an in-vogue restaurant and lounge at the top of the hotel. Both valet and self-parking are complimentary. Guests have use of the four pools (one is seasonal, with machine-made waves and a beach) and amenities at the Mandalay Bay Resort next door. Other resort amenities include on-site shopping at Mandalay Place and Shops at Mandalay Bay, over 15 restaurants and lounges, several live-show venues, business and convention centers, wedding chapel, and walk-through aquarium. There's also the resort's 24-hour, 135,000-square-foot casino, with 2,400 slot machines and over 120 gaming tables.

| After a 5 hour flight and waiting in line for 1/2 hour to check in, the front desk clerk could be more helpful and perhaps more welcoming. Since I reserved 2 suites for this trip for my entire family, the clerk refused to give us suites with connecting doors without even an explanation. Keep in mind, that I called the hotel and request this before arriving and they said it was no problem at all. Totally disappointed with the service and I do not recommend this hotel.

| THEhotel-we went with 2 other couples, who all booked through expedia, when we arrived, THEhotel, had none of our reseravtions, we spent hours calling expedia, in which the hotel management blamed, which i thought was crap, after 3 hours, they booked the room as a walk in on my credit card, which held the amount of what i paid for the trip on my CC, so basically i had to pay twice, that same night, they finally cleared it up and offered no gifts of upgrades, after their screw up, my credit card finally cleared up after i got back so, they tied my CC up the whole trip where i couldn't use it, i over heard some guests on the third day that i was there complaining, i stopped and asked them what happen, they had the same experience but booked through a travel agent, ha, so it wasn't expedia, i never thought it was, one of the other couples, had problems with room service and saw other couples at the front yelling and complaining, so basically the management is a joke and unless you book through their website and pay top dollar don't stay here, your vacation of no stress will not happen, although the rooms where amazing and the beds where great.

| The hotel is a little worn, the food and service is great. The Mandalay Bay water park made the stay, except you have to at the wave pool by 8:30 am to get a chair.

| The first look of THEhotel suite we got was of the chic, attractive up-to-date suite we expected. But! I noticed hair on the floor in the water closet and bath areas. Ewww. Then we noted that the vanity in the half bath and the various pieces of furniture were not in very good repair- sort of chewed up- worn, you know? THEN the large screen TV in the living room didn't work and the front desk told us how to clear it out and get it working so we did that. We went out for the day and came back expecting to watch a DVD only to discover that the TV was NOT working properly and if we wanted one that would we would have to have it switched out (at 11 p.m.) We were excited about staying on the strip and in a suite at that. I won't go there again nor recommend it!

| If you like intimate comfort and luxury, this hotel is for you. It is pricey, but well worth it. Very quiet and removed from the noise once you are inside. Room service is fast, and the food is very good. Soft colors create a relaxing atmosphere.

| Wife & I spent our 16th anniv there - spending 4 nights. We were extremely impressed with the accommodations and staff. The room was bigger than expected and had everything we needed. When room service was ordered, they beat our expectations in delivery (some places we've stayed it's taken over an hour - we received our orders in less 30 min.). The decor and additional amenities (spa, pools, casino etc.) we're first rate. We've sold ourselves on this location and plan to spend our future anniv. trips no where else.
