| My teenage daughter and I stayed at the hotel for two nights the first week of September. The staff gave us a warm welcome feeling from the moment we arived. The hotel is very pretty and clean. I enjoyed coffee both mornings in the lobby while my daughter got an extra hour of sleep in the room. The room and bathroom was small, much like hotels in London and Paris, however, the room had everything we needed and this was really not a problem. There are two parking garages in the same block as the hotel so you do not have to use the valet service. The hotel is well located one block the Curan theater and just a couple of blocks from Union Square. I will stay there again.

| The only real "negatives" were the location was a bit dicey (near Tenderloin), and the business center could use an upgrade in equipment. The service by the concierge and hotel staff overall was outstanding. Nice stay.

| The Serrano is a European style hotel. Small and quaint. The rooms are adequate in size, but with a lot of amenities packed in - small refrigerator stocked with an "honor system" assortment of goodies, iron board and iron, hair dryer, etc. Plus the free morning coffee is the best I've had at any hotel. The location is excellent - close to Union Square and the start of the cable car line which gives an easy ride to Chinatown and Fishermans's wharf. The concierge was very helpful in helping us negotiate around the city and surrounding areas as well. We enjoyed this hotel and would certainly recommend it.

| This small hotel has a great location with a great price. Just steps away from the Grand Cafe, great French cuisine, and the Redwood Room, the very happening club. And Union Square was approximately 3 blocks away. Nothing extravagant...but some nice details like Aveda products. I'll definitely be back.

| Not far from the cable car, trolley, or BART. Great resturants all around just ask the bellhop or front desk for advice they gave great suggestions. Extra pillows were not available the first night but were the second.

| Perfect walking distance to Union Square, shopping, China Town. Parking is expensive. Hotel shows its age, and the rooms, although clean, catch all the noise from your neighbors and outside. However, they sincerely try to make up for all of that with their service. Bellhops, front desk, they all treat you as if you owned the place. They even include complimentary wine tasting before dinner. It's an ok place to stay if you're looking for convenience and service.

| This is a great little hotel centrally located near the theaters and Union Square. The rooms are small but tastefully decorated in a non-hotel/motel theme. We'll definitely stay there again.

| First the bad...the room could have been bigger for 4 people. That's it. Now for the good...beautiful room, exceptionally clean, comfortable beds, quality shampoo and soap, big fluffy towels, good shower, quiet at night, efficient ventilation, attentive staff, and great location. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat...and hope to stay at other Kimpton properties soon.
