Nestled on the banks of the scenic Deschutes River, this hotel is located near many Central Oregon attractions, including golf, downhill and cross country skiing, rafting, and rock climbing. There’s a public golf course adjacent to the hotel and River Bend Mall is across the street. Mount Bachelor is just 22 miles away,
The hotel has an indoor pool and two indoor spa tubs. There is also a seasonal outdoor pool and a seasonal jetted tub with a river view. Guests have access to a sauna, a steam room, an exercise room, and a guest laundromat as well. Meeting and banquet rooms are also available.

| Bend is a growing community. I am sure that at some point this hotel will appear less competitive. But for now, the price/value relationship is perfect. Staff is nice, friendly, have a sense of humor yet maintain their professionalism. All in all a comfortable stay.

| We enjoyed our stay here very much. The pool is beautiful. They gave us the breakfast buffet on only one of the three mornings we stayed--not sure why--but it was surprisingly hearty, and even had a make-your-own-waffle station. The one complaint I have is that the bathroom was very small and had weird lighting. Otherwise, Shilo gives really good value for the money.

| The hotel was fine. The rooms surround the pool which was great for the hot days of summer. Bend is a fabulous city and the hotel was in a great location to get around easily, but right on a major street. There was a wedding reception at the hotel one of the nights which was a little loud, but overall it was a great experience. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

| My biggest complaint was that check in time was 4:00 pm and our room wasn't ready until after 5:00 pm. We had plans and this was a huge inconvenience. I wouldn't reccomend this hotel. I was raised in Bend and am certain that there are other establishments that could and would have accomodated our needs.

| The room was very comfortable and clean. I tried to get a straight answer about our room location, but I got the run around. I also emailed the hotel to see if they could answer, but I didn't get any answer back. I wanted a riverside room, but I was told that it depended upon the time I check in and availability. I was told that I could reserve a riverside, but they couldn't say when the room would be available. What? It was quite irritating. There were alot of unattended unruly children. The computer in the lobby was down for our entire stay. I think they should charge less for a night stay, because you can book a room at a resort, have much more privacy and better service. This was a last minute trip and had no other options. I will make sure to book ahead elsewhere next stay.

| Comfy room with great check-in service. We were not impressed by the service at the free breakfast: unorganized and unpleasant (inexperienced?) people. The location was not perfect: we had to drive to get to downtown Bend. But it was quiet and peaceful. Decent gym: kind of run-down.
