Great place in the middle of everything. We have stayed many times and used it as home base as we can drop by many times in the day as we explore everything.

Great location for public transport, shopping, walking distance to many things. Room was nice, very clean, comfortable bed. The only negative things were that the front desk was understaffed and that there was no free wi-fi. They expected you to pay $10 a day for internet, however if you wandered over to union square or the metreon there were hotspots there. No swimming pool but there was a gym.

If you are looking for a hotel with comfort and a prime location, the Renaissance Parc 55 is it! My fiance took me away for my birthday and it was wonderful. If you take Bart from the airport it drops you off literally across the street from the hotel. The hotel is located in a prime spot near Union Square with lots of local eateries near. The hotel staff is very courteous and the beds in the rooms are to die for (you will never want to get out).

When I checked in, I don't get my perferrable room with non-smoking and view. The clerk at the front desk wasn't patience and polite to handle the situation and provide appropriate rooms to accomodate me. We had about 4-5 luggages but he did not even send a bell desk staff to assist us to move our luggages to our room. The room size is small and tight, and there is no refrigerator for beverages.

The room was very small and it smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The beds were uncomfortable and it felt like a cheap motel.
