Features
What to expect: Although just 3 miles from Miami International Airport, the hotel offers a secluded, resort-like setting. It stands on a private peninsula on the Blue Lagoon, a 100-acre freshwater lake. The Hilton's meeting rooms and convention services draw business types during the week. The restaurants, large outdoor pool, fitness center, and other recreational activities draw leisure guests. They all mix around the buffets in the casual Coral Café, outside at the Blue Lagoon Saloon, and around the piano bar in the Cove restaurant.

Amenity highlights: Outdoor activities abound: The hotel has a 3,000-square-foot outdoor geometric pool with large sundeck and spa tub, and a nearby fitness room with adjacent his-and-hers saunas. A lighted basketball court and tennis courts are located on the garage rooftop. A half-mile jogging path runs along the edge of the Blue Lagoon.

Insider tip: Keep an eye out for wildlife: Four parrots offer a colorful welcome at the front door. Koi fish swim under the walkway to the Coral Café. Aquariums dot the restaurant areas. Out back, there's a walkway on a spit of land leading to a gazebo overlooking the lagoon. This bit of land harbors birds, lizards, and other creatures. Rather shop? The concierge can call a courtesy shuttle bus from the Dolphin Mall.

The Cove - This intimate, fine-dining restaurant is open for dinner only. The menu features fusion and international cuisine, with an emphasis on steak and seafood. Weekends, guests are invited to gather at the piano bar.

Coral Cafe - Adjacent to the hotel's main lobby, the Coral Café offers an à la carte menu, lunch buffets with an international theme, and Sunday brunches. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Blue Lagoon Saloon - Poolside bar and grill serving grilled sandwiches, salads, and tropical drinks.

Lobby Bar - Casual spot for a cocktails.

This hotel is very luxurious. Service is excellent and fast. I can't believe how quickly we got picked up at the airport and checked in. One warning: be prepared to tip.

There was a lot of water in the carpet and the room smelled like mildew. I expected more from a Hilton.

Stayed here as opposed the airport hotel which got bad ratings. The only problem was that the hotel shuttle never came around the airport, and we were forced to take a taxi for like 14 bucks.

This was my second time with this hotel. As with my previous visit, I was impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. The room was very clean and the beds fluffy! I had a great night of sleep both times! The food was also yummy--though we avoided the buffet and went straight for the "nicer" resturant. I will be a repeat customer whenever I am in Miami.

We were happy with our room but requested a king sized bed and were told there were none and that because we booked thru the internet we couldn't request specific rooms, so we slept in separate beds because the full sized beds were small, not exactly a romantic getaway! Luckly we got a nonsmoking room! It was a beautiful place to stay, the grounds wetre pretty and the pool area was nice. There were no resturants nearby or shopping, we went to a local mall and we were the only white people there. If you want to just stay at the hotel and relax its fine, The airport is real close so you may hear the planes.
