The Westin Grand is a good place to stay if you traveling on business. For families staying in Vancouver like us, it wasn't the best choice. The outdoor lap pool wasn't heated, and it had a dangerous broken top step on one ladder. The hot tub was small. We were on the 30th floor and the city views were nice. Our suite felt small. The hotel staff was great and very pleasant. The food there was so-so. Expected a cleaner room from a Westin hotel. The bed was very comfortable.

The continental breakfast was exceptional, with a wide array of fruits and fresh breads and even some hot foods, all included in the room price. The views from the rooms were lovely.

Luxurious suite, but very small rooms. Big enough for one person. Not much of a view. Great bed!

We had booked one of the top floor rooms to make our trip more special, but were a little disappointed by how small/ cramped the not cheap suite actually was. The bed was only a couple of feet away from the floor length windows, and that was quite vertigo inducing... i.e. unpleasant. We were also quite disappointed by how run down and not quite clean public areas of the hotel were, the restaurant particularly was in dire need of a good clean and re-decoration... Not quite what one would expect at a Westin. (The room/ suite itself was very clean.) I had a couple of friends recommend the hotel warmly, but was disappointed on our visit.

Excellent overall experience. One of the best hotel beds ever slept in. Room was immaculate, well appointed, quiet for being mid-city. Hotel location was great, easy walk to shops and restaurants. Concierge very helpful with dinner reservations. In house bar and restaurant were also very nice. Plan to return, hopefully soon!
