| As stated, this property is a former apartment building converted to a hotel by Marriott - one of a number of properties specifically designed for executives needing longer term housing while traveling for business. In comparison to other hotels (The Paramount, Time, etc.) in which the room size is basically a glorified closet, the full size apartments provided by this accommodation seem more than luxurious for NYC. The rooms were clean, well-appointed and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable. Although pricey at times, the occasional Expedia special will make this hotel competitive with lesser choices. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

| The lobby does not raise high expectations, but once you enter the rooms/apartment you will be surprised by the nice interior and professional standard. You live like in your own apartment at home - so there is only weekly room service - but it also feels like home

| This is essentially an apartment building in which Marriott has purchased a number of apartments which it rents out to long-term business travellers. Most stays are for a month or more, but when they have vacancies they may rent the rooms for shorter stays. You get a basic New York one-bedroom apartment with a living room, bedroom--both of good size--and smallish bathroom and kitchen (fully equipped with cooking and eating utensils, full-size refrigerator, oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher). They give you "starter supplies," after which you're on your own unless you arranged maid service for an extra fee. The front desk is friendly and helpful, but this is essentially lodging for self-sustaining, "on-your-own," business travelers who don't need extra service amenities and hand-holding. It's very well located for getting around. The only real problem I encountered was a phone system that needs to be rethought, as people can't reach you through hotel's main number. In all, this was a non-standard but recommendable hotel experience, not for all people but excellent for those who relate to it.
