| When I looked at the hotel from outside in the night it was not good. It looked to me like a haunted mansion. I felt I should change the hotel next day morning. When I stepped in it was completely different. It was opposite to what was outside. This is an excellent place to live in. They have a restaurant in the ground floor which attracts more customers for dining. I stayed in other hotels in miami but this is extremly good. Very Clean and cordial. Its like staying in a vintage place.

| The Hotel St. Michel had beautiful accomodations. The room was spacious and very "Old World". There were antique dressers, armoirs, and desks in the room and throughout the hotel. The service in the hotel was great! Complimentary bowls of fruit, chocolates and Avian water. There was still a little damage to the roof from hurricanes last season, but it posed no problems for my stay. The neighborhood the hotel was located in was also very safe. Shopping and reastaurants are within walking distance. I would definitely stay there again.

| The hotel is rather old, but in a charming way. As a business traveler, it offered all the amenities expected. That is, a nice (french) restaurant to meet business clients, a quaint bar/parlor area to relax, and within walking distance of shops/restaurants lining Coral Gables' "Miracle Mile". The staff is attentive to your needs. As noted, the hotel is old, and it shows in the rooms, which may need updating of curtains, bedspreads, and some of the furniture. However, if you have traveled to Europe, you would find this hotel to be up to par with European 3-4 star hotels and inns. I will certainly take the hotels charm and convenience over its obvious need for minor aesthetic improvements.

| Very lovely hotel. I was hesitant a little bit when booking this hotel because of the few negative reviews but when I got there I was pleasantly surprise. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful from calling us a cab to holding our luggage when we checked out. They also allowed us to check-in early as we arrived in Miami from our Caribbean cruise at 7 in the morning. It was quiant and cozy. I have to admit that it is a very old building but the room and furniture are well maitained. The flat screen t.v was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious enough for our one night stay. One negative remark about the room was the bathroom. The shower wasn't very strong so it wasn't a relaxing shower. I just wanted to get in and out. We also tried their Sunday champaign brunch as I heard it was good and they were listed in the 2006 Zagat book. WE were not disappointed. It was fabulous. My boyfriend even said it was the best champaign brunches he's ever had and he really enjoyed the mimosas. Overall, it was a great experience at Hotel St. Michel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

| I recently had the pleasure of staying here in order to spend more time with visiting family. We are local to Miami and were not altogether sure that any place nearby would make it worth our while over a short drive home. We were pleasantly surprised! The hotel is stunning inside and out, the history alone is fascinating. (a friendly employee gave us a summary) Most of all the restaurant is fantastic for breakfast. The atmosphere is semi-formal in my opinion, yet those in casual dress will also be welcomed. One tip however, is that the entrance doors are usually locked after 12am, so if you return late, you'll just need to knock to be allowed in. This is for safety reasons I assume, and is no real inconvenience. The only problem I encountered was a leaky/malfunctioning AC unit in our room. After we reported this it was seen to however.

| The hotel was quaint. The main floor had a musty odor but the room did not. They should provide clocks in the room. No clock is an inconvenience. The lighting could have been a little better. Also, shelves or counters would be good to have in the bathroom for personal items.

| got a great last minute deal on expedia. Received a free upgrade to a junior suite. The room was gorgeous, except for dust on some of the older furniture. Comfortable beds, beautiful antiques and professional staff. They do lock the door around 11 PM, so you must flag down the staff for entry after that time. But definitely, St. Micheals is my new favorite Miami hotel.
