| The hotel is an old office building. Our room was very spacious with a sitting area. Wireless Internet access was available in the room which was a nice surprise. It is an old building with a few signs of age. We were not successful in turning off the air conditioner. It was quite cold in the room. I am sure management would have oome to help if we had called but it wasn't important enough...just got under the covers. It is located across the street from Truman's home, 1 mile from the Museum and Library and a short walk to the town square. Fantastic location for touring Independence! I would go back again and would definitely recommend to anyone interested in a basis hotel experience. Friendly staff, clean room plus a basic continental breakfast included...coffee a bit weak...

| My second time at the Olive Branch Inn. It is a quiet, comfortable, clean and a great value. Desk staff is friendly, knowledgable about the area, and helpful. Although a bit off the beaten track, it is easy to find, right across the street from the Truman home. Breakfast was basic, but fresh. The only negative is the lack of restaurants within walking distance, especially on weekends.
