Front desk was a little under staffed but the hotel is very well priced, extremly clean, pools and bars were first rate, elevators very quick, LG Plasma TV's were everywhere. Great for family and friends to avoid the rush. A little south and out of the way if you're going there alone and looking for more action back on the strip. But, certainly would stay there again. Great hotel for the price! SM@Vero

It was a great hotel experience. I recently stayed at a four star hotel on the strip and I was pleased to find that the linens in this hotel was on par with the other hotel. The pool area was outstanding. The volley ball area complete with a sandy beach was too awesome. My girlfriend was visting with me from Nigeria and we are planning to spend a week with our family next year when she returns. The buffet was awesome. My only complaint, the slot machines were pretty tight....Overall, the hotel was so economical, that I did not mind leaving a couple of hundred behind!!!!!!! I will be back.

An exceptional facility. Very large rooms, and a most friendly smiling staff. The 5 mile trip back down Las Vegas Blvd. can take upto 30 minutes just to get to Tropicana Blvd., but still The South Coast is well worth that minor inconvenience. I only sampled the food at the cafe next to the casino floor. I was just your basic cafe fare, nothing out of the ordinary. But, if you looking for a great room, and a friendly helpful staff (which is becoming difficult to find in any hotel, reardless of the price) The South Coast is a great bet (pardon the pun).

This is the best place for the money in Vegas....new in Dec. 05.. Everything was perfect. The room was just as shown on Expedia and the food and service was great...Had to walk through casino (a little smoky) to get to elevators for rooms...but worth the walk....can't wait to go back to this one....the reviews were correct...it was fabulous!!

We were on a limited budget, and this hotel exceeded our expectations. The check-in service was fast, we never waited more than 8-10 secs for an elevator, & the room was very clean & comfortable. The hotel hallways were arctic, but the room maintained our temp settings on the a/c with no problems. Pool area very clean, frequent cocktail service, and the hot tub was a nice respite from the summer heat. Excellent summer drinks at the pool too. Best food bargain was the Graveyard Specials at the Coronado Cafe ($1.25 b-fast or $9 T-bone dinner, midnight-9am). Also, take the 2-for-1 coupon for the $6.95 breakfast buffet about 10-10:30am and you can catch the start of the lunch food at 11. It was well-stocked, diverse, and fresh. Casino was diverse, some new games, & friendly dealers. It took about 25 mins from the hotel garage to mid-Strip Aladdin Casino garage at rush hour, but we rented a car since we also went to Grand Canyon. Grocery store a couple blocks away for soda, snacks, juice, water, and breakfast foods.

This is one of the best values in Vegas. If you have a car, I would recommend considering South Coast. The hotel is almost brand new, and our room smelled fresh and clean. We had a great western view of the sunsets over the mountains on the 23rd floor. I think we had a handicap room (oversized stall shower), which was actually an unexpected perk. Everyone on the staff we encountered was very friendly, and the buffet was delicious. We also ate lunch at Baja Miguels (you can get a free margarita with an entree as a hotel guest), and the Coronado Cafe has a dirt cheap "graveyard" breakfast special between 12AM-9AM. We did not use the pool, but from what I saw, it looked pretty good. My wife hoped the spa would be ready in time for our trip, but it was not yet in operation. This was our first trip to Vegas, and even though this hotel is not in the thick of the action, it has a laid-back vibe that is refreshing after walking in and out of the Strip's monster resorts in the hot August sun. From the south end of the Strip, it was never more than a 10-15 minute drive.

This hotel is great! It's new, with a beautiful Plasma TV, great comfortable bed, clean room and big batroom. I stayed in other hotels in the strip, but this is definately the best place for us. Just five minutes from the strip. I recomend!!

The hotel is really amazing when I get in with the first sight. The room is super clean and the bed is comfortable. The space is big and the view is good if you stay in the higher floor. Can't wait to go back next time.
