We ran into problems from the very start. Our key wouldn't open the door, there were mystery stains on the carpets and the bathroom door wouldn't close completely. In the hotel's defense, we did request a pet friendly room but I must say, it was in sad, sad shape. On the up side, the staff was very nice and agreed there was a problem and after the first night switched our room. It was cleaner but still not in much better shape. In addition, the hotel was not air-conditioned and, although the windows opened to a busy and noisy street, the days reached tempatures in the upper 90's and the nights were miserable. We did request a fan for our room which helped stir the hot air and keep down the street noise. Overall, I would only recommend the Hacendia Inn to those who only want a place to sleep. As long as you got up early and got back to your room very late, you hardly noticed the "rent by the hour" feel of the place.

Hacienda Inn in Taos is ok. Needs remodeling, old facility. But it was ok for the price, which was very good compared to other options in Taos, NM

This motel was bad. Cigarette burns and holes on the furniture, dirty linen, rude staff and owner. They would not refund my money, I left for a bettter hotel anyhow.

It definitely didn't look as bad in the picture. Pool and hot tub had no water! Rooms were clean when we checked in but we stayed 3 nights and nobody ever cleaned the room. Also, no shuttle to the ski valley! guy at the desk said "only when they have enough people." At this hotel, i doubt that will ever happen.

Do not stay in this hotel!! It is by far the worst place we have ever stayed. It was dirty and run down and my husband and I were both leery to touch anything in the room. There were cigarette burns on the nightstand, sheets, toilet, and just about anywhere you looked. The toilet and shower couldn't have possibly been cleaned anytime recently and the sheets were stained with little appeal to curl up for a good nights sleep. To top it off, the desk attendant recommended the worst restaurant in town for dining (based on our experience there & later advice from locals) for our first evening in Taos. We were supposed to stay 3 nights and only ended up staying 1. I would rather stay an hour away than stay at this hotel again!!1
