The beds at this hotel must have been the most uncomfotable bed that I have ever slept in. The floor was probably more comfortable. I try not to be to picky but the beds were horrible and the rooms looked nothing like the picture on the internet.

Good location for the price. Within walking distance of dowtown Gatlinburg but far away enough not to hear all the traffic. The only problem was the pool. Even though it was hot when we were there the pool was ice cold.

Perfect location, loads of charm!! A little dated, but very clean. The staff was very nice, and on call for anything we needed. Will definitely go back in the future!!

This hotel is in a terrific location for visiting nearly anywhere in Gatlinburg. The stream outside the room was really nice and the family of ducks and the chipmunk just made my stay! The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and set up well. The room we were assigned would not pick up the wireless internet access, but we could go to the lobby to access it with no problems.

This motel was within walking distance to most of the attractions. It was an older motel but was in good condition. I would recommend this motel for anyone.

The hotel was w/then walking distance of everything and the hotel staff was nice, but the hotel was old and outdated! and the pillows smelled like strong cologn like they hadnt been washed. My daughter and I were fighting for the SMALL sink area, but the view from the balcony was beautiful and made up for the lack of room quality. If your looking for a town view this isnt the hotel for you, u couldnt see the town from the hotel or anything that was going on the only view we had was the creek and a building in front of that.

I enjoyed the river running right outside our room. You could even hear it with the door closed. I had a very peaceful stay. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

Getting into and out of the hotel parking lot with a car is difficult due to foot traffic. Fortunately, this hotel is located appropriately for anyone wishing to walk the Gatlinburg strip. Don't let the name of this hotel fool you. In no way should the word "island" or "river(s)" be used to describe the location of this hotel. Keep in mind that housekeeping doesn't always read the "do not disturb" sign on the door. They entered my room in spite of the sign.

To begin with dirty/mold covered towels were on the floor and over the tub curtain, the air conditioner was off and the room smelled. Clean towels were on the rack but were a gray color and so were the sheets, neither had fabric softener used on them. The worst item was the mattress, I prefer a firm mattress but the one in this room was like sleeping on the floor.
