| It's often difficult to find lodging in Fredericksburg in the first place, and even more difficult to find affordable lodging. This property was affordable, but not a 5-star hotel. It's an older property, which is part of the charm. Good amenities in each room (microwave and mini-fridge), but the bathroom is small and reminiscent of the 1950s. Special attention and pride appears to have been taken with the bed -- firm mattress, quality linens and four really good pillows (not the small flimsy ones often found in higher quality motels). Quaint setting in a nostalgic motor lodge way, with grassy areas in front of each room and lawn furniture available for relaxed evenings. Right on Main Street just blocks from downtown and all the shopping and restaurants. We missed out on the complimentary continental breakfast, but I suspect it was coffee and a box of store-bought doughnuts. A really good alternative for your stay in Fredericksburg.
