Features
What to expect: The Embassy Suites Crystal City offers its business and government clientele a warm respite from workday worries. Ivy trails down the ledges of the central atrium, where guests enjoy food from the Crystal Grill amid tropical shrubs and trees. Vacationing families also take advantage of the hotel's large rooms and proximity to Washington's tourist sights. Amenity highlights: Guests wake up to a cooked-to-order complimentary breakfast every morning, including pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, bagels, coffee, juice, and fruits. A manager's reception each evening offers complimentary cocktails. A fitness center with cardiovascular and weight-training equipment is supplemented by an indoor pool with hot tub, sauna, and sundeck. A gift shop and concierge are ready to meet last-minute needs, and a free shuttle service takes guests to the airport, a nearby Metro station, and a mall. Insider tip: Some of Northern Virginia's best shopping is located just three blocks from the hotel at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City. The spectacular four-story, glass-roofed mall houses 170 stores, from big department stores such as Macy's and Nordstrom to upscale boutiques such as Kenneth Cole and Coach. A free shuttle transports guests and their purchases back to the hotel.
Guests of the hotel enjoy a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast each morning. Crystal Grille: Tucked under the tropical trees of the hotel's 11-story atrium, the Crystal Grille serves American cuisine—from sandwiches and salads to steak and seafood—for lunch and dinner. Part of the café houses a pool table and jukebox, and a piano provides musical accompaniment at dinner.

| I was extremely satisfied with my stay at Embassy Suites Crystal City. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Mall and plaza shoppes were in walking distance. Ideal place for large family. Great complimentary, full cooked-to-order breakfast daily. Can't wait to go back!

| Our whole entire experience at this hotel was great. Food was fabulous, rooms were big and the kids enjoyed the extra space. Definely a place to go with kids.

| Once again, I fell for bright, cheery pictures on the website. The hotel was fine by any yardstick; it just looked a bit tired in couple of areas--the pool and the atrium. Also, we were given a room with a wheelchair-accessible shower (with no door or divider from the rest of the floor). That was fine, but it flooded the bathroom because the shower floor sloped towards the rest of the bathroom. We had to use extra towels to keep things somewhat dry. Even though they were unable to honor our request for a non-smoking room for the first night, the staff was very professional and very helpful. The Metro is a five-to-ten minute walk away. Not bad, except if it's raining (which one night, it was). I'd stay there again, but I'd look for something better (and closer to the Metro) first.

| Even though I was not at home the staff of the Embassy Suites in Crystal City did a very good job trying to make it feel that way. Our room was well maintained every day. And the breakfast and reception in the evenings was great. I would certainly make it my hotel of choice if I visit the DC area again. I have never left a card in a hotel before to say thank you but this time I did. Just to let them know that they did an excelent job.

| This hotel is an excellent value, especially for families with children. The suites are a good size and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet, which was included in the room rate is an especially good value. The hotel is very convenient for the D.C. area sights and attractions.

| All of the usual accolades to a good hotel apply here. But I was particularly impressed by the employees' response when my 15-year-old granddaughter decided to socialize with some boys she met at the pool and didn't bother to tell me where she was going. The hotel's front desk and security people were extremely efficient and courteous in locating her, saving her 70-year-old grandfather much angst! And the service people in the restaurant area also went out of their way to get to know us.

| Excellent hotel for families. Wonderful full breakfast each morning. Two room suites are very spacious; can't imagine squeezing our family of 5 into a normal hotel room again. About 2 blocks from subway station, then 10-15 minute ride to downtown DC. Shuttle bus runs to/from station every 30 minutes.
